The comedy isn't funny and doesn't really work but Downhill is still a really good drama that's gripping and uses its short run time effectively. Will Ferrell and Julia Louis-Dreryfus are both really good and have great chemistry. The direction by Nat Faxon and Jim Rash is good and it's well filmed.
