Is it necessary for my car's brakes to be bled when changing the pads?

If the brake fluid hasn't been changed, it would be a good idea.

Do you mean at every brake job?I have had my car for 2 years and it still has 40% life left.Do you mean that I should replace the brake fluid? That doesn't sound right. My car has yet to go through a full set of pads.

When Air is introduced into the system, you only need 2 bleed brakes. It will flow back into the Master from the Calipers if you use the cap on the master. There is no need for 2 bleeds. When the brake light comes on, the pads are so thin that there is no brake fluid in the master.
