Is it okay to place a soundbar behind a tv?
If you don't know where to put your soundbar, it's useless. We know it can be hard for first-time buyers, so we created this simple guide to make it easier to fit your soundbar with your entertainment system.
You can either put your soundbar above or below your TV.You just need to make sure the soundbar is free of obstructions. The placement of the soundbar depends on where your TV is and where you plan to sit, but more on this later.
Which is the best spot? The answer depends on the angle. It needs to be in front of you for the best audio quality.
Take into account your setup and preferred position when choosing a TV rack.It shouldn't be difficult to decide if it's best to mount the soundbar above or below the TV.There are exceptions to the rule for surround sound systems.
The remote is another thing to consider. If you have a remote, you want to be able to point it at the receiver and have an instant response. You should not have to raise your arm or stand up to change settings if the soundbar is placed too high.
The IR blaster on the remote can affect the position of the soundbar above or below the TV.
It is worth mentioning that placing the soundbar below the TV gives you more flexibility. It is possible to put it on the TV rack.
If you want to place it above the TV, you will most likely need to mount it with drills and screws. We suggest putting the soundbar on the TV rack if you don't like the extra work.
If your TV is mounted above the wall or on the TV itself, you would need your soundbar to be ear-level.A lower TV is caused by people with higher couches and entertainment consoles. The best place to put the soundbar is close to the TV's ear-level.
If you prefer to watch TV from the floor, then mounting the soundbar below the TV is the best option.
If you mount it at ear level, the acoustics will be better. It is the same with TVs.Most people have their TVs set up in a way that makes them look better.A lot of popular soundbars are mounted below the TV so they are closer to ear level.
Why would anyone want to hide something?A lot of people think of hiding the soundbar or wires. The TV itself will block the sound and make it difficult for your soundbar to receive commands via the remote, so we don't suggest this placement at all.
The couch could obstruct the audio if placed behind the TV.The back of the couch is only a barrier to sound, so you may think that having it close to you will give you the best experience. It is better to register audio from ahead. In front of the audience is where the soundbars are made.
For the best audio quality, we recommend soundbars at ear level. If you are just going to place it on the floor, why not put it in your entertainment console?
We recommend wall mounting an entertainment unit if it isn't included in the arrangement in an individual's house. It won't be a safety hazard and will provide better sound quality.
If you opt for a wired connection, a soundbar sitting on the floor can involve wires dragging.Kids, pets and even you can easily trip over them because they detract from the beauty of your interior aesthetic.
If it doesn't have doors or is the right height, you can put a soundbar in a cabinet. The top of the cabinet would make it difficult to amplify the sound.
The speakers are built with surround sound in mind. The ceiling was supposed to bounce off the sound and give you a 3D effect. We would advise against this placement if you have an advanced sound system.
