Petroleum Tape is non-hardening and non-cracking. Petroleum Tape is highly resistant to mineral acids, alkalis, salts and micro-organisms and highly impermeable to water, water vapour and gases. Petroleum Tape is used for the protection of buried or exposed pipes, rods, cables, valves and metal fittings from corrosion.
How do you use Petro tape?
PETRO-TAPE and PETRO-TAPE NICKEL are easy, quick and clean to use. Just wrap one turn of tape around the pipe, stretch it to break and join. There is no need to wait. Once assembled the joints are immediately ready for pressure testing or service.

How long does Denso tape take to dry?
Brush apply one coat of Denso Primer D™ over the entire area to be wrapped. Allow to dry for 20 minutes or until touch dry. Select as wide a width of tape as practical, e.g. 100mm wide for 150mm diameter pipe. Peel back about 0.5m of interleaving and apply the adhesive side of the tape firmly to the pipe.
