Is Petro tape waterproof?

Petroleum Tape is non-hardening and non-cracking. Petroleum Tape is highly resistant to mineral acids, alkalis, salts and micro-organisms and highly impermeable to water, water vapour and gases. Petroleum Tape is used for the protection of buried or exposed pipes, rods, cables, valves and metal fittings from corrosion.

How long does Denso tape take to dry?

Brush apply one coat of Denso Primer D™ over the entire area to be wrapped. Allow to dry for 20 minutes or until touch dry. Select as wide a width of tape as practical, e.g. 100mm wide for 150mm diameter pipe. Peel back about 0.5m of interleaving and apply the adhesive side of the tape firmly to the pipe.
