Digitakt is great I love it. Its so tactile with the buttons, and its actually a fair bit simpler than searching online would have you believe. Once you understand that it is optimized to be a drum machine and not a sample player and looper like the Octatrack or MC-707, it all makes sense.

Worth The Work The Octatrack takes a day or so to get your head around, but it's worth it. Once you understand the work flow, you'll pretty much be able to do anything AS LONG AS YOU UNDERSTAND THE FACT THAT YOU ONLY HAVE EIGHT SAMPLE TRACKS.
