Today 0.5Mbit/s is painfully slow. It is only better then nothing but hardly usable at all. I do consider all speed below 20Mbit/s to be unbearable slow. At 50Mbit/s Internet are starting to be enjoyable.
Can I stream with 0.5 Mbps upload?
Upload speed of 1 Mbps or more is needed for streaming. Less then 0.5 Mbps upload speed will not work for live streaming as the quality will be terrible and/or lagging.
Is 1.0 Mbps upload speed good?
**You'll want at least a 1 Mbps upload speed for quality video conferencing. Keep in mind that the speed you sign up for isn't always the speed you get.
How do I fix my upload speed?
- Try using a wired connection.
- Clear your temporary files.
- Remove other devices from your network.
- Remove malware.
- Change your DNS settings.
- Update device drivers.
- Upload at off-peak times.
Why do I not have upload speed?
You might have an older modem or router that could use an upgrade. Your ISP should be able to help you figure that out. Additionally, if your WiFi isn't password protected (a.k.a. if your neighbors are helping themselves to your internet) or you have a bunch of devices using it, that could slow upload speeds as well.
