You can block a person on Facebook, which will prevent them from being able to find, view, or contact you.The process can be performed on the mobile app and the desktop site.If you block someone in error, they can be unblocked.
Step 1: If you want, you can open Facebook.
The app has a white "f" on it.If you're already logging into Facebook on your phone or tablets, this will open the News Feed.If you don't have a Facebook account, you need to enter your email and phone number.
Step 2: There's a button that you can tap.
It's in either the bottom-right corner of the screen or the top right corner.
Step 3: Go down and then tap the settings.
It is at the bottom of the page.You should skip this step on the phone.
Step 4: You can tap account settings.
You can take this option to your account settings page.You must first scroll down.
Step 5: It's possible to block it by tapping.
It is near the bottom of the screen in the second group of options.You may have to scroll down for some phones.
Step 6: Go to the name field.
The text box tells you to type a name or email at the top of the screen.
Step 7: If you want to block someone, type in their name.
The confirmation page will take you there.If you have this person's email address, you can type it in.
Step 8: Next to the profile you want to block is a Block.
If you want to block one of the profiles that match the name you entered, you have to tap the right one.
Step 9: When prompted, tap a block.
The button is at the bottom of the page.You will be blocked if you do that.
Step 10: To get to Facebook's website, you have to go.
You can go to Facebook in your browser.If you're already a member of Facebook, this will load your News Feed.If you don't already have a password for Facebook, you need to enter your email address and phone number.
Step 11: Click here.
The Facebook page has an icon in the upper-right side.Doing so leads to a drop-down menu.
Step 12: Click on the box that says settings.
It is near the bottom of the menu.
Step 13: You can click blocking.
The settings page has a left side tab.
Step 14: Click on the name to see it in the field.
Below the "Block users" heading is a text box that says "add name or email".
Step 15: You can type in the person's name.
You can enter the person's email address here if you have it.
Step 16: The person you want to block can be found next to Block.
Click next to the correct profile to see a list of people who match the name you entered.
Step 17: When prompted, click Block [name])
The pop-up window has a blue button at the bottom.The person will be added to your blocked users list.
