Step 6: The water should run clear after you rinse the pillow.
The soapy water should be squeezed out of the pillow. If the pillow feels wet, squeeze it and hold it under the faucet. If the pillow feels soapy, keep it under the water. To remove soap from the pillow, rinse it for 1 to 2 minutes. It will be harder to dry the pillow if it is left soapy.
Step 7: Use a dry towel to press out excess water.
Put the pillow in your hand and turn off the water.Put the wet pillow on the towel. The towel should be folded over the pillow to remove excess water. You should not wring out feather pillows since this will damage the feathers.
Step 8: It was dry.
Put the pillow in the dryer if the care label says to dry it on low heat.Turn on the machine if you want to speed up the drying process. You can clip the pillow to the clothesline if you don't have a dryer. The pillow should be hung until it's completely dry.The amount of time it takes to dry the pillow depends on how hot it is.
Step 9: If your pillow smells bad, add baking soda to the wash.
If you're worried that your pillow is stinky, add 1/2 cup of baking soda to the soapy water. After washing the pillow, rinse it completely.
Step 10: The pillow should be soaked in a peroxide-vinegar mix to remove stains.
