It can be frustrating when invisible zippers stop cooperating, but they add a sleek, flattering touch to your clothes. The invisible zippers can split at the seams or the slide can get detached. Not to worry! You can get your garment back in working order with a bit of focus and patience.

Step 1: The bottom stop is at the end of the zipper.

There is a metal bar at the bottom of the zipper. If you want to separate the sides of the zipper, you need to remove the stop completely. The repair will need to be done separately. The NIPPER is a plier-like tool that helps you make small adjustments.

Step 2: The Slider needs to be removed completely from the zipper.

The tab should be grabbed and guided down from the teeth.Don't worry, since you've already removed the bottom stop, you can pull off the slider completely.

Step 3: Feed the tape through the right side.

Take the top right portion of the tape and thread it through the right side.Don't be discouraged, it may take a few tries before the material goes through. The teeth on the tape are attached to it.

Step 4: The other tape should be Threaded through the left side.

Feed the tape through the left part of the sliders. At this point, you should have your slider at the top of the teeth.

Step 5: The parts of the tape that need to be separated are the two sections.

In order to thread the slider back on the tape, you will need to create some opposing force. That is where the ends of the tape come in.Pull the ends of the tape apart. You will need a free hand to pull it.Pull the sides of the tape apart with one hand.

Step 6: As you continue pulling the tape in opposite directions, pull the slider toward you.

While holding the end sections apart, hold the tab with your free hand. The tab should be used to pull the slider back onto the zipper.Pull the tape in opposite directions if it doesn't come back onto the teeth. It may take a while before this works.

Step 7: To create a new bottom stop, melt the bottom-most teeth with a soldering iron.

The rows are touching one another. If you want to make a new bottom stop, you need to melt a small section along the bottom of your zippers. You are now able to use your zipper again.

Step 8: The top stop and nearby teeth need to be removed from your vehicle.

A thin, metal bar is known as a top stop and it helps keep your slider from slipping off completely.Remove the top stop with a set of pliers or nippers. It will be easier for you to fix your invisible zip up.

Step 9: The parts of the tape that need to be fed into the sliders.

You can thread the left section of tape through the right side of the mouth. If you repeat this process with the right section of tape, you'll be good to go.

Step 10: The top of the zipper teeth are marked with a tug on the zip code.

When it reaches the top section, the slider will stop. There is a built-in lock on the inside. The lock prevents the zipper from sliding back onto the teeth.

Step 11: Pull the two sections apart.

Extra force will be needed to help guide the sliders back onto the teeth.Pull apart the ends of the tape with one hand.

Step 12: If you want to separate the tape, you have to use the sliders up and down.

The slider needs to be jerked upward in a quick motion.Pull the zipper downward. At this point, the teeth should have a thread back on them.Pull both sections of tape apart and tug on the tab if the slide doesn't come off at first.Don't give up, invisible zippers can be difficult.

Step 13: A soldering iron can be used to create a new top stop.

You can melt the top couple of teeth with a soldering gun.The metal stop you clipped off will be replaced by this. You are ready to use your invisible zipper again. If the soldered section doesn't look good, it's okay.No one will be able to see it since it is invisible.
