The kitchen appliance is easy to use.To cook slices of bread lightly, use it.To choose how dark your toast will be, you'll need to adjust the knob.depress the lever on the front of the appliance and slide your toast into the toasting slots.Wait for the toast to cook, and keep your nose open to make sure it isn't burning. The toast is done when the lever pops back up.
Step 1: Each slot has a slice of bread.
You can toast a single slice of bread.Pick a slot and slide it in.Most people like to insert the slice at the bottom of the toast. You can toast many things other than bread, but only if you are comfortable using the appliance.
Step 2: The toasting level needs to be set.
The front of the appliance has an adjustment knob that you can use to choose how dark the toast is.The dial runs from 1 to 5, with 1 being the lightest and 5 the darkest. The dial should be in the middle: 2 or 3.If the toast isn't dark enough, you can always toast it again.Light, medium, or dark are some of the settings on some toasts.waffles, toast, and bagels are available at other toasts.Pick the setting that best matches what you're toasting.
Step 3: The toasting cycle begins when the lever is lowered.
The food should be ready to toast.Don't let your nose smell for burning! If you want the toast to be dark, the toasting process should take less than a minute. You should never leave the bread unattended because the toast will pop it out on its own.The bread will have to be popped manually if it starts to burn. While you lift the lever, hold the top corner of the toast down.If things start to burn, you should only do this.
Step 4: The food should be removed.
The toasting cycle is done when the lever pops back up.The toast may ding.Use your fingers or tongs to take the toast out.Put your favorite spread on your toast.Don't use metal to take the toast out.
Step 5: Don't be on the side of caution.
Set the dial to a lower number if you're not familiar with the appliance. You cannot un-burn a piece of toast if you put the slice back in.If the toast comes out too light, you can toast it again using a low setting.
Step 6: The toast level should be adjusted to the toast eater.
If you are making toast for someone else, ask them if they like their toast lighter or darker. The dial should be set to the low end if they prefer their toast lighter. If they want their toast to be dark, set it to 3 to 5.Pick a medium setting if you can't ask the person what they like. The toast will not be too light or dark.
Step 7: Don't burn the toast!
You are playing with fire if you set the dial to the highest setting.Electric heat can apply dangerous heat to a food item if thick slices press up against it.If you accidentally burn your toast, hold it over the sink and use a knife to remove the burnt parts. There will be lots of crumbs. As the toast warms, watch it carefully.Don't wait for it to pop if you see it starting to burn. The level should be pushed up manually.
Step 8: Make sure that the appliance is plugged in.
An electric wall outlet is required for most toasts. If the toaster isn't working, you should plug it into a different outlet and check the cable for damage. The toast might be broken if you plug it into a different outlet. If the cable appears damaged, don't use the toaster.Check for damage, such as tears or scorch marks.
Step 9: It's a good idea to practice toasting safety.
Don't put a metal implement into a toast while it's plugged in.Don't touch the toasting slots while the appliance is hot.The metal is fired up to high heat using dangerous electrical currents. You may burn yourself if you use your hand.If you put a fork in the slots, you run the risk of self-injury.If the toast gets stuck in the slots, try depressing the lever for a moment, then popping it up manually, with force. Before you try to remove food stuck in the toaster, you should unplug it.To remove the item, use wooden tongs.Electricity will not be conducted by wooden tongs.
Step 10: It's a good idea to clean a toast.
There is a tray that slides in and out of the appliance. There are crumbs and burnt bits in this tray.To clear space for more crumbs, remove the tray and dump out the contents. If you don't have a tray, carry it over to a sink or trashcan. You can shake the crumbs out by turning it upside down.If you don't remove the crumbs, they will become a fire hazard.
