Everyone is creative in his or her own way, and it is difficult to measure creativity. There are ways to express your creativity more effectively. To make creativity a practice, you will need to commit to it.
Step 1: If it isn't immediately accepted, allow yourself to be different.
Be different from normal.Do not be afraid to ask questions. It is possible that your ideas are not seen as creative by others.Let go of the idea that your ideas will be graded. If you think you would like to share it with others, speak your mind.
Step 2: Take some time to be creative.
Creativity is something that you learn and train on a daily basis. No one has ever made a career by simply sitting down and letting the ideas flow. They were learning their craft and coming up with creative ideas.Creative ideas only come during work.Set aside 20 minutes each day to work on your craft. As you hone your skills, you can build up a larger time commitment. If you don't want to work in a creative field, you can still practice creative art. It's possible to increase your creativity every day.
Step 3: Don't be afraid to be curious.
Look for anything you don't know. You can read books or learn skills that interest you.Talk to people you want to know.Creative connections can be made if you store more material in your head.
Step 4: Get enough rest, food, and water.
If you're tired, you don't have to try to squeeze out something creative from your head; it's not worth it.Take a nap or tea break. When your mind is fresh, you should be able to come up with better ideas.Your brain cells need the right amount of sugar. The ideal amount is 25 grams.Too little can cause confusion, while too much can damage your brain cells.Try snacking on a banana, which has about the right of glucose in it, or eat high fiberCarbohydrates, such as broccoli or whole-wheat bread, that will give you more of the sugar you need. There will be less connections in your brain if you're dehydrated. This can give you a feeling of brain-deadness.
Step 5: Absorb influence not related to your field.
You can become truly creative when you are deeply involved with many things.Taking influences from science and architecture into art is what creativity is about. The Beatles' ability to bring eastern influences and instruments, like the sitar, into western rock and roll has partially made them famous.David Foster Wallace studied tennis, drug addiction, math, and the science of light and optics before writing his masterpiece.Travel can be used to absorb new influences. If you want to find inspiration, go somewhere new.Go for a walk if you can't afford to go far.Draw inspiration from a book.
Step 6: Relax.
You won't have a lot of creative ideas every day.You can block creativity if you try to force it.Bad ideas are part of the creative process.Good ideas will eventually come when you keep trying to be creative.
Step 7: Don't be afraid to experiment freely.
Being creative involves taking leaps of imagination, trying new things and seeing what happens.Cut and paste your work in new and exciting ways if you try out a crazy new idea or technique. Many of these experiments will fail, but creativity is about finding a new thing that succeeds.
Step 8: Don't judge ideas.
Some creative ideas are not going to be a good one.You will never come around to a better idea if you are afraid of failing or having a bad idea.Write down as many ideas as you can.You will pick through the ideas to find the good ones after you're done.If you erase the idea right away, you'll never know if it's a good idea or not.
Step 9: Old ideas should be mixed and matched.
An idea is nothing more than a new combination of old elements.Clone it and combine it until you have something you can call your own.You don't need to think of it as stealing because The Rolling Stones mixed blues with English rock and roll for a new style.Faulkner combined James Joyce's flowing, heady style with the spiritual and racial history of his home in the American South.Cubism, the art form of Picasso, was developed from experiments with Impressionism and the stylized masks of African and Asian sculpture.
Step 10: You can change your environment if you feel stressed.
Stress can make it hard to express your creativity. If you feel trapped, stressed, or pressured, move to a place that is more relaxing, such as a garden or a balcony.Try to listen to music that stimulates your brain cells. You can break up monotony if you put on some music, head outside, or switch desks.
Step 11: Work on projects with others.
Asking for input can give you the "Eureka!"You are looking for something.Everyone's mind is different, and the influences that inspire another person may be completely different from your own.You could never have thought of someone making a comment like that.Getting others involved can lead to more creativity. You can work alone if you want.Send a draft of the project to a few friends and ask for feedback.
Step 12: Try drawing or writing.
When the pen goes on the page, you don't take it off.For a five-minute burst, make yourself work.It can lead to new ideas if you take your mind off of judgement, and it is a great way to warm up to creativity.Every single day, it gets your brain working.
Step 13: Take some time to work on other projects.
Taking some time away from your current project gives you time to think. You will be coming at it with a fresh pair of eyes when you return. You may be able to see areas of improvement that you couldn't before.
