Step 1: Late summer and early to mid-autumn is when to wait.

They won't flower the next season.The bulb might need time to recover from the disruption.Either the next year or the following year will see the return of flowers.
Step 5: The leaves of the lilies should die off.
It will be late spring and early summer.After the leaves are gone a shoot will appear very quickly.
