It's always fun to have peanut butter cookies with your family and friends. These peanut butter cookies are easy to make and fun to eat.Roll the dough into balls after combining the ingredients for the cookies. Before baking the balls of dough, take the cookies out and let them cool. You need to make another batches soon because they won't last long.
Step 1: On a regular bake setting, preheat the oven to 355 F.
The oven should be turned on and set to the required temperature. The oven should be preheating for 15 minutes or until it reaches the set temperature. If you are using a fan-forced oven setting, reduce the temperature to 307 F.
Step 2: The trays are lined with paper.
To fit the trays, cut 2 sheets of paper.Make sure the entire surface of the tray is lined. You can line the oven trays with foil, cooking spray, or a non-stick baking mat.
Step 3: Cream 1 cup (200 g) of white sugar and a cup of room temperature butter.
Combine butter and sugar in a large mixing bowl with either a hand mixer or stand mixer. When it looks pale, smooth, and creamy, the mixture will be done. The mixer should be set on a medium speed. The butter should be left out for 30 minutes to reach room temperature.
Step 4: Put the egg in the butter and sugar mixture.
Beat the egg into the butter and sugar with a hand mixer or stand mixer. This should take around 20 seconds. When beating the egg, use a low setting.
Step 5: Add 1 cup of smooth peanut butter and a small amount of vanilla extract to it.
The peanut butter and extract should be put in the large mixing bowl.To combine the ingredients, turn the mixer back on to a medium setting.
Step 6: The salt, baking soda, and all-purpose flour should be put in the bowl.
Use a medium setting to mix in salt, baking soda, and all-purpose flour.Continue until all of the ingredients are combined. If the flour is stored in a tightly compressed bag, use a sieve to aerate it.If the flour has been stored in an airtight container, give it a quick stir with a wooden spoon and it will be ready to use without a sieve.
Step 7: The dough has to be rolled into 1 in balls.
Pick up some cookie dough.Roll the dough into a ball.If you don't want to use your hands, you can use a cookie dough scooper.
Step 8: The cookie dough balls should be rolled in 14 cup of white sugar.
The remaining sugar should be placed in a small bowl. You should coat the outside of each ball of cookie dough with sugar.
Step 9: The cookie dough balls should be on the trays.
There are 12 cookie dough balls on the baking tray.As much room as possible is left between the cookie dough ball and the tray.Leaving room between the cookie dough balls means that each cookie can spread out as it cooks, and that the cookies won't join together.Enough is 2 in (5.1 cm).
Step 10: Attach a fork to the cookie dough ball.
Place the flat bottom of the tines of a fork on top of each cookie dough ball to form a flatter surface. To lightly mark the dough, don't press down too hard.To create a criss-cross shape, you can press the fork into each cookie dough ball twice.
Step 11: The cookies should be in the oven for a while.
Place the trays in the oven. When the timer is set, remove the cookies. The edges of the cookies will be a light golden brown when they are removed from the oven.Dark brown edges are what peanut butter cookies will have.
Step 12: The cookies should be cooled on the tray for 3 minutes.
Once 3 minutes are up, use a spatula to remove the cookies from the oven tray and place them on a wire rack to cool. The cookies will be ready to serve when they are slightly warm. The cookies should be kept on the wire rack.
Step 13: Store cookies for up to 3 days in a container.
The cookies should be placed in a glass or plastic container. The pantry is a good place to keep the container out of the sun. When the heat leaves the cookies, make sure that they are completely cool before storing them.
