Make something squishy.

There is tons of fun to be had with marshmallows, and it has the added benefit of being tasty too.By following a few simple steps, you can use a microwave or stovetop to make marshmallows, play with them or cook them for topping desserts.

Step 1: 6 jumbo marshmallows will be put into a mixing bowl.

Put your cooking oil into a large microwave-safe mixing bowl. The marshmallows should be placed on top. It's possible to like cooking oil.Canola oil (rapeseed oil), corn oil, and peanut oil all work.

Step 2: For 30 seconds you can microwave marshmallows and cooking oil.

The bowl should be placed in the microwave. The cooking time should be 30 seconds. The marshmallows should be soft after microwaving. The cooking time is for a 1200 watt microwave.Try 20 seconds before you go longer. If 30 doesn't cut it, try 35 to 40 seconds.

Step 3: The amount of powder that should be put into the bowl is 4.69 to 9.38 grams.

If you want to mix it in with a spoon, pour 1/2 of it into the bowl.Once the mixture is cool, use your hands to knead it.It will be very hot when you remove the mixture from the microwave.

Step 4: The mixture should be kneaded and added with cornstarch as needed.

The act of squeezing your paste with your hands is called kneading.Roll, pull, and squeeze it together. If you find the marshmallows aren't stiff enough, you can add another 1/2 cup of cornstarch for a total of 1 cup.The goal is to get the mixture to be squishy. The marshmallows should be cool before you start using your hands.

Step 5: Add 14 cup of powdered sugar to the mixture to make it thicker.

You can use powdered sugar to make your mixture thicker. It can be used as an alternative to cornstarch or just as a flavor enhancer.Add 14 cup at a time until you get the consistency you want. After adding sugar to mix it in, be sure to knead your marshmallows. If you want to color your slime, mix in a few drops of food coloring.

Step 6: If you want to store your slime for a few days, store it in a container.

It should be put in a room with minimal humidity.Don't put it in the fridge or freezer.Once it is hardened, discard it.

Step 7: Place marshmallows and coconut oil in a container.

If you can choose the exact temperature, medium heat can be found anywhere between 300 to 400 F.Put your mini marshmallows and coconut oil in a large pot and cook them until they melt. You can mix your ingredients with a whisk or spoon.

Step 8: Add icing sugar and cornstarch to the bowl of marshmallows.

Once it's melted, pour it into a bowl. The bowl should hold 2 cup (120 mL) and 1/2 cup (62.5 grams) of icing sugar. If you want to use your hands, mix everything with a spoon. The coconut oil will prevent it from sticking.

Step 9: The cutting board should be coated with cornstarch.

You can sprinkle it on the cutting board or another clean surface. The back of your spoon is the best place to flatten the cornstarch.

Step 10: The cutting board is the place to put your mixture.

Start kneading it after transferring the mixture to the surface.Continue squeezing, stretching, and pulling until you get a slimy consistency.Try stretching your mixture out by rolling it into a ball.

Step 11: Adding coconut oil, cornstarch, and icing sugar will give you texture.

When you get a slimy texture from the marshmallows, add 2 cup (120 mL) of cornstarch and 1/2 cup (62.5 grams)of icing sugar. If you find that the slime is too sticky, you can add more coconut oil.Make sure to mix it in thoroughly with your hands whenever you make an addition.Remember that you're going to eat it eventually, so don't add too much.

Step 12: If you want, you can break your slime into three pieces and color them with food coloring.

3 pieces are roughly the same size.Add a drop of food coloring to each and mix it up again. You have to add more drops until you get a color you're happy with.Food coloring can be mixed to create unique colors.

Step 13: Put your slimy stuff in a container for a few days.

Place your container in a room with little humidity.Don't put them in the freezer or refrigerator. The slime should be thrown away.If you want, swap the container for saran wrap.

Step 14: Put 3 egg whites and a small amount of cream of Tartar together.

They should be put into a mixing bowl. The easiest way to mix them is with a standing mixer, starting on low speed and increasing the speed to medium until you notice the formation of soft peaks. You can mix with a whisk. If you see peaks just starting to hold before melting into themselves, the mixture is done.Hold the whisk at a 45 degree angle and hold it in a gentle grip with your thumb and fingers.

Step 15: 300 to 400 F is the temperature for sugar, salt, and vanilla.

Put the water, sugar, salt, and extract into a saucepan.Wait and place it on medium heat. It's a good idea to take it off the stove once it hits 230 F.Medium heat is 5 on the dial or anywhere between 300 to 400 F.

Step 16: Put your eggs in a bowl and remove the sugar from it.

Remove the egg mixture from the element once it reaches 230 F.Add it to your egg whites and cream of Tartar.Medium speed is the best for a stand mixer.

Step 17: You can add cotton candy extract to the mixture.

If you're using a stand mixer, slowly add the cotton candy extract. If you're using a whisk, add a little bit at a time and whisk it into the mixture immediately after.Continue until all of the extract is mixed in.If you add the extract too quickly, you could make your egg whites bigger.

Step 18: When the volume doubles, increase your mixing speed.

Set the mixing speed to high and wait.If you use a whisk, increase your speed as much as possible.Once the mixture has doubled in volume, stop.If you're mixing with a whisk, hold the bowl with your non-dominant hand as you increase your speed.Green food coloring is added during this step.

Step 19: There are cakes and pastries.

The best way to use your marshmallows is with cakes and pastries. If you want to fill a cupcake, you can either top off a cake with your slime or poke a hole in it.Don't be afraid to give your desserts a messy look.

Step 20: You can store your slime in an airtight container for a couple of days.

It needs to sit at a room temperature with minimal humidity. If you want to use it in a dessert again, place it on the stove top on medium heat until it reaches 230 F.Don't expect to get the same slimy texture when reheated.Once it is hardened, discard it.If you want to keep the slime fresh, don't bring it back more than once.
