His parents are Luis Carlos Arbelez and Gloria Correa.After looking for a fresh start, Manuela moved to the United States in 2006 with high hopes of making it big in the industry, first relocating to West New York, New Jersey.After arriving in the US, Arbelez was one of the contestants in Nuestra Belleza Latina, a beauty contest/reality show hybrid that aired on the U.S. Spanish-language television channel Univision.
Even though she is a new citizen of the US, Manuela continued on to try out for acting and modeling jobs.During the 37th season of The Price is Right, she learned of a Model Search contest and decided to try out.
After auditioning hundreds of women, Arbelez was one of five who were chosen to appear on-camera as a model for one episode of the game show as the winner was chosen by an internet fan vote and the opportunity to tape five additional episodes.Four more cities were included in the contest, including Los Angeles, Detroit, Miami, and Birmingham.
The other people who represented their cities were Annilie Hastey of Miami, Lindsey Kelley of Los Angeles and Ekima White of Detroit.The entire week of shows ran from October 20th to October 24th, with the first show airing on Monday, followed by the second show on Tuesday.The online poll that the viewers cast their votes in began on the 24th and continued until the 31st.During the week of January 12-16, 2009, it was decided who would be the winner after the votes were counted.
Although she was not the winner of the model contest, she left an excellent impression on the show's producers and they immediately hired her as a regular model.On April 1, 2009, Arbelez made her official debut on Price is Right.
In addition to her role as the new model on The Price is Right, she has also appeared on other TV shows and appeared in a movie.
She was a part of Robin Thicke's music video It is in the Mornin'.She was one of the trophy models at the 54thGrammy Awards.

On the April 2, 2015 episode of the Five Price Tags game, a COSTLY mistake is made by Manuela.The contestant and Drew Carey were surprised that she accidentally revealed the correct price of the car.As a result, the contestant is awarded the car despite having two more chances at picking the right price (the contestant had three chances total), embarrassed by her costly blunder, and Drew pulled her out of hiding.
During an interview with Inside Edition, she revealed that she thought she was going to be fired or lose a big chunk of her paycheck after she relived the embarrassing mistake.She said that after she heard the buzzer, she thought the game was over and that her expensive mistake made someone very happy.
On May 11, 2016 the clip was seen on Let's Make a Deal for their version of Five Price Tags which also featured Manuela during their Mash-Up Week and on its official Facebook page.
As a result of being injured while modeling a trampoline on an episode that aired in February of 2016 she was absent from the rest of the show.
