A big name has been added to the portfolio of WOWorks.Marcus Lemonis of CNBC's "The Profit" founded The Simple Greek in 2015, and last year the company acquired Colorado-based Garbanzo Mediterranean Fresh and Frutta Bowls in New Jersey.
Lemonis said in a company press release that he was excited for the future of The Simple Greek.It is in the best interest of our franchise owners to become part of a larger family of brands, as this brand has been an incredible journey over the last five years.This will give them buying power and resources that can help accelerate their growth.
The Simple Greek infrastructure and operations will be taken over by the Saladworks management team.The deal is expected to be finalized on April 1, 2021.

There are 215 WOWorks locations in the United States.Saladworks entered Canada, California, Tennessee, Rhode Island, Ohio, Florida and Indiana in 2020.
Non-traditional presences, including ghost kitchens, food trucks, grocery retail, hospitals and universities, have been an avenue of growth for the brand.
