OpenCola is not a copyrighted variation of cola. The recipe is very easy to make and has the same taste as Coca-Cola andPepsi.Drink this beverage by itself or with ice.Enjoy!
Step 1: The essential oils and water must be mixed in a small bowl.
Measure 3.5 mL of orange oil, 1 mL (0.20 spl) of lemon oil and 1mL of nutmeg oil.You can mix the oils and water with a spoon. The mixture is used to make the cola.If you can't find neroli oil, use petitgrain, bergamot, or bitter orange oil.It is also called cinnamon oil.Pure essential oils will have a better taste.Purchase essential oils from a health store.
Step 2: To make a blender, add sugar, water, citric acid, caffeine, caramel colour, and flavouring to it.
You should measure 15 mL (0.53 impFL oz) of the flavouring you created, 3.5 liters of water, and 2.36 lbs of white sugar. You can use a food processor if you don't have a blender.Extra caffeine can make you unwell, so don't add it to the recipe. The colour of the cola is pale brown because of caramel coloring.Purchase caramel coloring and caffeine from a store. You can keep unused flavoring in the fridge.
Step 3: Take 10 g of gum arabic and put it into the blender.
The gum arabic helps to give the mixture a syrup consistency. The latter will make you sick, so make sure to use food-grade gum arabic.Buy gum arabic from a store.
Step 4: 2 minutes is how long it will take the ingredients to blend.
When you blend the ingredients, make sure the sugar is dispersed amongst the liquids. The OpenCola has a syrup base. You can keep the syrup in the fridge if you want to use it later.
Step 5: Take the syrup and soda water and put it in a glass.
To find out how much soda water to add, divide the amount of syrup by 5.If you want to make a large glass of cola, you can mix the syrup you created with the soda water. Both sparkling and carbonate water can be used as mixers.
Step 6: The syrup and soda water should be stirred with a spoon.
Once the cola has an even color, mix the liquids. When the liquids are combined, stop stirring the cola as it will cause the drink to go flat quickly.Use a metal straw to stir the syrup and soda water if you are using a thin glass.
Step 7: If you want to enjoy it on its own, add ice to the drink.
Cola tastes best when it is fresh.A cool and refreshing drink can be made with 3 or 4 pieces of ice.The rich flavours of the cola can be enjoyed alone.Cola will lose some of its bubbles if left in a fridge.
Step 8: The leftovers can be stored in the fridge.
Attach the lid to the bottle with a screw. The number of bubbles can escape from the cola. The drink will have some bubbles for up to 4 days if you make it the day before.Cola can be stored in clean recycled soda bottles.
