The best way to give your bathroom a refresh is to paint it.All of the drawers, doors, and hardware need to be removed to make way for painting.sand and wipe down the surface after filling in any imperfections with wood putty.If you want a smooth finish, apply primer and let it dry overnight.Apply 2 light layers of paint and let them dry overnight.The transformation is complete once you have removed the tape and reassembled the Vanity.
Step 1: All of the drawers and cabinets should be empty.
Personal products, towels, and styling tools should be taken out.They will be out of the way when you are working on the Vanity.This will help keep the paint clean.
Step 2: Place a dropcloth on the floor around the Vanity.
Paint drips and spills can be protected with a plastic or canvas sheet.Put painter's tape on the edges of the dropcloth to keep it from moving.To keep debris from getting trapped under the dropcloth, vacuum the floor area before laying down the cloth.
Step 3: Remove all of the pieces from the bathroom.
Remove false door fronts.To paint separately, lay these on the dropcloth.Remove hinges and knobs and store them in a plastic bag.Once the paint job is complete, you should clearly label where each piece goes in the cabinet so they are easy to replace.
Step 4: All cabinets need to be washed with dish soap and water.
Add a drop or 2 of dish soap to a sponge or scrubbing pad to remove oil and dirt.Remove the drawer fronts and wash all of the pieces.You should rinse with fresh water and a sponge.All surfaces should be dry.
Step 5: You don't want to paint with painter's tape.
Place tape around the underside of the Vanity top, any adjoining walls, and inside the cabinet frame.It will help keep these surfaces from being painted.
Step 6: Let it dry after patching up any flaws with wood putty.
Wood putty and a knife can be used to fill in scratches.When the putty dries down, it will still fill the damaged area, so make sure to overfill the flaws.Wait for the putty to dry before starting your project.You can usually sand after 15 minutes for shallow imperfections.You will need to wait 3-7 hours before sanding if the gouges are deeper than 0.25 inches (0.64 cm).
Step 7: Sand down any mess.
To even out the level of the putty, use 220-grit sandpaper.It can be used to remove paint spots.Sand the inside corners of the cabinet.The base for the paint to stick to will be created by this.
Step 8: The dust can be cleaned with a vacuum and rag.
You can remove the sanding dust by vacuuming the area.When vacuuming, use a brush extension and a low setting.If you want to wipe down the Vanity surfaces, use a rag with water.This will help pick up dust.Let the surface dry before moving on.

Step 10: Pick from oil-based, latex, or chalk-finish paints.
Oil-based and latex paints require a primer, while chalk-finish paint does not.Oil-based paint is strong and resistant to chipping.It is difficult to clean up because of the strong odor.Water-based latex paints are very durable.There is a nice, light sheen that is not too shiny.There is a smooth, flat finish to chalk paint.It requires less paint because it is thick.It is easy to leave brush marks because of its thick consistency.
Step 11: Put a coat of paint on the Vanity and let it dry.
You can either use a brush or foam roller.If you want to paint over any detailing or edges with a brush, use foam rollers to create a more even coat of paint.Start by filling a tray with paint.The drawers and doors should be kept on the dropcloth to prevent mess.Paint in the direction of the wood grain.
Step 12: If the paint looks patchy, add a second coat.
The paint may have some patchy areas after you let the first layer dry.Apply a second coat, brush on paint over edges and corners, and use a foam roller on flat surfaces.After a full night of sleeping, check the painted pieces in the morning.There is patchiness with darker paint colors.It is advisable to let the Vanity dry for up to 48 hours.
Step 13: After it is dry, disassemble the bathroom.
You can remove the painter's tape and reassemble the pieces when they are dry.It is ready to be used if you stock it with your products.
Step 14: The chance to do some spring cleaning is available.
