It can be difficult to remove ink from many surfaces.Fortunately, glass is not one of them.It is possible to remove permanent marker ink from a glass surface with rubbing alcohol, acetone-based nail polish remover, orWD-40.After you've removed the stain, rinse the surface with fresh water and then use a glass cleaner to clean the windows.
Step 1: Put on gloves.
It's a good idea to crack a window or work in a well-ventilated area because of the strong chemical in WD-40.Put on gloves to protect your hands. It's a good idea to extinguish any flames nearby. It is highly dangerous.
Step 2: The ink-stained area should be sprayed with a liberal amount of WD-40.
If you want to spray the area liberally, point the nozzle toward the glass.Allow it to soak for a while. If you're dealing with an old ink stain, you may want to cover it with plastic wrap. This probably isn't necessary if the ink is new.
Step 3: Remove the cloth with water.
Run a soft microfiber cloth under the tap and wring it out.If you're working on a small area, use cotton balls or cotton swabs.
Step 4: The cloth should be touched directly on the stain.
The ink stain can only be touched with a damp cloth.Stay close to the stain and scrub with short strokes. You will have another mess to clean if you wipe the surface with large strokes.
Step 5: If you have to, apply more WD-40.
If the stain hasn't been completely removed after your initial scrub, spray the area again.Allow it to soak for another few minutes.Once the ink has lifted, repeat the scrubbing.
Step 6: Put a clean cloth on it and wipe it off.
Put a microfiber cloth under water and wring it out.To get rid of the film on the glass, wipe it down.
Step 7: The glass cleaner will help clean the surface.
After spraying the surface with glass cleaner, use paper towels or a clean cloth to wipe away any leftover mess. The surface should be clean and free of ink.
Step 8: Rub alcohol on a paper towel or clean cloth.
You have the same kind of alcohol in your medicine cabinet.Use a clean cloth or paper towel to apply the alcohol. If you have sensitive skin, you may want to wear plastic gloves.
Step 9: Use the alcohol-soaked cloth to wipe the ink stain.
Since alcohol is effective, begin with gentle strokes on the surface.Continue to wipe the stain after applying a little more pressure. The alcohol will come off easily. If you have to, apply more rubbing alcohol to your rag.
Step 10: Put a clean cloth in the water and wash the glass.
Put your cloth under the tap and wring it out.To clean the glass surface, wipe it with a cloth.
Step 11: Follow up with a glass cleaner.
Glass cleaner can be sprayed onto the surface of the glass. To clean the surface, use a clean cloth or sponge.
Step 12: Work in a well-ventilated area.
A strong solvent is acetone-based nail polish.Turn on the ceiling fan if you want to keep the air moving. Is it possible to work outside? If you have sensitive skin, you may want to wear plastic gloves.
Step 13: Put the nail polish remover in the paper towels.
Make sure you use acetone-based nail polish. It won't work.Put the bottle on the paper towels. The towels should be saturated with acetone.
Step 14: To clean the surface, wipe it with ink.
You shouldn't have to scrub the stain vigorously.Remove the ink from the glass.Apply more acetone.
Step 15: To clean the surface, use a cloth.
Wet a clean cloth with water and wring it out so that it isn't soaked. To remove acetone from the glass, wipe the surface with the cloth. If acetone got on your hands, wash them with soap and water.
