You can learn how to submit a missing place's address to the internet.You can do this on both the mobile and the desktop version of the map.If you want to add a business to Google Maps, you need to register it.
Step 1: Open the maps on the internet.
There is a location pin on a map.You can open the map view by doing that.Enter your email address and password if prompted.
Step 2: You can tap.
The screen is in the upper left corner.There will be a pop-out menu.
Step 3: You can add a missing place.
This is at the bottom of the menu.If you do that, you will be taken to the "Add a place" page.
Step 4: The place's name should be added.
You can type in the name of the place by using the "Name" text field.The place's name needs to be spelled exactly as you want it to appear.
Step 5: You can enter an address.
To type in the street address of the place, tap the "Address" text field.If necessary, include the city, state, and ZIP code.The more information you give here, the quicker you can verify the place's existence.
Step 6: You can choose a place category.
If you want to correlate the place with the category you tap the "Category" text field.You can use the text box to find a more specific category.
Step 7: There is no requirement to enter non-required information.
To add non-essential information about your place, tap the text box and type in your phone number.To enter the place's website address, tap the text box.To add an open time and a close time, tap the box, select days of operation, and then select the correct times.If you add hours for at least one day of the week, you can add more for different days.
Step 8: Send it by tapping.
It is in the right corner of the screen.If you do that, you will be able to submit your request to the internet search engine.If your submission was accepted within two weeks, you should receive an email.There is a paper plane-shaped icon in the top-right corner on some phones.
Step 9: You can open the maps on the internet.
You can find the maps in your browser.You can add a place from this website if you're signed into Google Maps.If you're not signed in yet, click in the top-right corner of the page and enter your password and email address.
Step 10: Click on it.
It is in the left corner of the page.There is a menu on the left side of the window.
Step 11: You can add a missing place.
There is a link at the bottom of the menu.There is a window in the upper- left side of the page if you click on it.
Step 12: You can enter a name.
You can add a place by clicking the "Name" text field at the top of the window.
Step 13: The place's address should be added.
The place's street address can be found in the "Address" text field.If applicable, this should include city, state, and ZIP code.
Step 14: You can select a category.
Click the "Category" text field, then click a category of place in the drop-down menu.You can use the text box to find a more specific category.
Step 15: You can add other information about your place.
Click the text box and type in your place's phone number.The place's website address can be entered by clicking the text box.You can add an open time and a close time by clicking the link.If you need to add hours for different days, you can click again.
Step 16: Click submit.
There is a button in the bottom-right corner of the window.If the place that you entered doesn't already exist in Google Maps, you can submit a request for it to be added.If your place was added within a couple of weeks, you should receive an email confirmation.The place's current address will be displayed in a pop-up window if it already exists.You can click if the pop-up window tells you the wrong place.
