Fan Tan, Dominoes, or Parliament are also known as Sevens.Regardless of the name, the goal is to get rid of your cards first in order to win the game.A deck of cards, some friends, and the ability to put cards in sequential order are all you need.
Step 1: Take out the entire deck.
Pick one person to be the dealer and have them hand out a deck of 52 playing cards, face-down and one at a time, to each person going clockwise. The game can be played with many people. The cards may be dealt differently depending on the number of players. To solve this, everyone has a round with the lowest or highest amount of cards. If each dealer hands out cards going clockwise, the pattern will repeat fairly.
Step 2: In order of suit and numerical order, arrange your hand.
To keep yourself focused, organize the hand dealt to you.You want the cards to be arranged in numerical order. It is best to start with twos on the far left and run them up to the ace.A whole run will look like this.Four suits are hearts, diamonds, spades, and clubs. It's easier to find cards when you alternate the colors of your suits.
Step 3: Begin each round with seven diamonds.
The person with the seven diamonds puts them on the table. The layout starts when a seven of any suit is played.Laying cards down one by one next to the seven in sequential order creates a layout. Each suit will have one layout. If someone plays a seven, a suit layout can be started on the table. The person to the left of the dealer is selected to go first regardless of who has the seven diamonds.
Step 4: The layout on the table needs to be rearranged.
The layout is on the table. If each suit goes sideways above one another, you can create a grid of 4x13 cards. You can save space by stacking the rest of the suit on top of 6 and 8 cards. The game will be similar to the solitaire setup if you lay the cards vertically.
Step 5: Put a card down at a time.
Each person puts down one card on their turn, but it has to be the next card in relation to the ones already on the table. After a seven, the next cards will either be the six or the eight in that suit. When you play the cards that descend to the two cards of that suit on the left-hand side of the seven, the card values will go towards the ace.If you have a jack of hearts, you can't play it until someone plays ten of them.Only cards of the same suit can be put together. You can't play a six of spades next to a seven of hearts if it's on the table.
Step 6: When you cannot play any cards, knock.
You can say that you are passing on your turn by knocking the table. You can say pass if you don't have any cards that are usable. If there are only fives through nines on the table, all you have left are twos and face cards. If you have a card that can be played anywhere on the table, it is against the rules to pass on a turn.If someone passes when playing with poker chips, they have to put three chips in the pot.
Step 7: Until someone runs out of cards, continue playing.
Go around the table, each putting a card down, until someone plays their last card.If you only play one round, they are the winner.A new round or game can be started if you collect all 52 cards. You can either play several rounds within one game or just play a quick game. There are a number of options for choosing the next dealer. The person to the left of the original dealer is the new dealer. The person to the left of the cards could be the winner. Each person has a chance to deal the cards.
Step 8: You should hold on to your sevens, sixes, and eights as long as possible.
If you don't play these cards, other players will not be able to get rid of their own cards. You have the power to stall the game and increase your chances of winning because no one can play their low or high cards out of sequence. If these numbers are your only cards, you have to play them.
Step 9: Poker chips can be used to raise stakes.
Each player puts a chip in the pot.The people with the least amount of cards in their hand put an extra chip in the pot. When someone passes, they have to put a chip in the pot.The winner of a game gets the whole pot.Instead of chips, use token, pennies, or candy. If you want, you can attribute money to the chips for real gambling.
Step 10: People are allowed to play more than one card.
The rule that says you can only lay down one card at a time is not fast enough to speed up the game.If you have a four, three, and two of spades, you can lay them down as a run.The variation only applies to one suit at a time. You can't put down a bunch of hearts and diamonds. If you have numerical ordering, the cards have to be in the same suit to lay them down.
Step 11: Keep track of how many cards you have left.
To log how many cards each player has left, use a piece of paper or notebook after someone gets rid of their cards. Each card has a point.Keep track of the rounds at the end.The winner of the game is whoever has the smallest score. You should only go to 50 or 25 points for shorter games.
Step 12: Instead of a two, use the ace as the lowest card.
Some people order the cards starting with the ace and moving up to the king as the highest card. The order of the layout will not be changed by this. The run will end at the king on the right side of the two because you will lay cards out to two instead of ace.
