Have you ever found yourself in a situation where you can't seem to find a solution? If you think differently, then you may want to do so.The creative thinking process helps you formulate several possibilities to solve a topic in a short period of time.If you know what to do, applying divergent thinking isn't difficult.
Step 1: Problems can be solved with solutions.
It examines a problem using more of an out-of-the-box mindset, which is a form of creative thinking. You can try to solve the question by asking "what if I tried it this way?" instead of waiting for a status-quo answer.A thought process is used to generate ideas.Exploring many possibilities.Instead of taking obvious steps and walking along a straight line, one looks at different aspects of the situation, creating different results.Seeking and considering new and different methods, new opportunities, different ideas, and/or different solutions is encouraged by diverging thinking.
Step 2: Use the right side of the brain.
The right hemisphere of our brain is where we get our creativity, intuition, and emotional expression. It is crucial to the creative problem solving that depends on it.There is a free-flowing, non-linear way to think. It uses a variety of thinking styles.
Step 3: The standard problem-solving techniques are used in schools.
We don't get to use creative thinking in the classroom to solve problems.Multiple choice tests are a great example of linear convergent thinking. The ability to think about different ways to solve a problem at the same time is one of the four main characteristics of a divergent thinking.
Step 4: Understand how to think and meditate.
New patterns can be created by exploring the ways you learn.Think about them when you're done. For those ideas that are more theoretical, you should figure out how you can connect them to your life experiences and what you've learned from previous experiments.
Step 5: You should see with unusual points of view.
If it seems silly, do this.Imagine being one of the dishes at a banquet table. Now look at the table from different points of view. What would they expect to see on that table? If not included, what would they be disappointed about? Is there a blow dryer on the table? What can you do to make the arrangement more appetizing?Your brain gets used to new thinking patterns when you challenge your imagination.
Step 6: You can learn how to ask questions.
It's not so much about finding answers as it is about asking the question to get to those answers.Asking the right questions will allow you to find what you are looking for.The challenge is figuring out the questions to ask.The more you ask about the differences, the better your chance of succeeding.Break it down into pieces to simplify it.Then ask, "What if?"
Step 7: Brainstorm for ideas.
The technique builds upon ideas. One idea creates another idea and so on until a list of random ideas is compiled.Everyone can think more freely when they are in a group.Don't try to solve the problem.Pick ideas that are relevant to the problem. All ideas are recorded. After a long list of ideas is generated, one can review them to critique their value or merit.
Step 8: Keep a journal.
You can use a journal to record people's ideas during unusual times and places.A member of the team can write down their ideas.A source book of ideas can be developed from that journal.
Step 9: It is possible to write freely.
For a short period of time, focus on one topic and write about it.If it's about the topic, write down everything that comes to mind.Don't worry about the English language.Just write. You can revise your content later. The purpose is to come up with several different thoughts about a topic in a short period of time.
Step 10: Use a visual to create a subject.
Think of the ideas as a map or picture. The relationships among the ideas should be shown in the visuals. The topic may be how to start a business.Write "Start a Business" in the middle of a piece of paper and draw a circle around it.Product/service, funding, market, and employees are some of the topics you have come up with. You should draw four lines from the circle that contains your main topic.Your drawing will look like a child's drawing of the sun.Draw a circle at the end of the lines.Product/service, funding, market, and employees are the four subtopics that you should write about.Let's say that you have created two sub-subtopics.You came up with "loan" and "savings" when you thought of "products/service."What looks like mini suns with two rays are created by drawing two lines from each of the subtopic circles. At the end of each line, draw a small circle and write the sub-subtopics in it.If you want to write "dresses" in one sub-sub topic circle, write them in the other.Write "loan" and "savings" in the same circle from the "funding" subtopic. This map can be used to further develop the topic.Divergence and convergent thinking are included.
Step 11: In an innovative manner, arrange your ideas.
You will need to apply both convergent and divergent thinking to get the best results. They are important in the process.convergent thinking will analyze and evaluate creative ideas and narrow them down.
