Questions regarding testing certificates for wood burners are addressed in the certification and insurance section.

We can back it up with extensive public liability insurance because we have the right qualifications.

The official body recognised by the Government to approve your installation is the heating equipment testing and approval scheme.Once we have performed your installation in accordance with Government building regulations, we are able to self certify it.

If you were to perform the installation yourself, you would have to contact your local building control and get them to certify your installation, which is a complicated process, involves other parties, and is time consuming and expensive.

Blazing Burners are HETAS certified and regulated to ensure that the above building regulations have been followed. There is a registered Installer.17124 is a registered business.4484

You will receive a certificate of compliance once your wood burner or multi-fuel stove install is complete. The installation was carried out by a competent HETAS installer and complies with the relevant Building Regulations. The information on the certificate is used to notify the Local Authority Building Control Department of the work that was done. The certificate takes the place of a Local Authority Building Notice which could take a long time and cost you a lot of money. The information is required to verify household insurance in order to sell a home. You could face difficulties selling a property if you don't have a HETAS Certificate of Compliance.

There is public liability insurance cover for up to 2 million dollars. If anything goes wrong, please be aware that you are adequately covered.

We will attach our T&C's when we receive your estimate.Come back to us with any questions you may have before the install, these are reader-friendly and we ask you to go over these. If you leave us a 5” gap for a 6” liner on your knockout and the stove you're supplying isn't, we will not be able to do your install. Is it fair enough?

The appliance and flue liner will have warranties.Depending on the stove, the warranty will vary. The flexible liner can be used for 15 or 30 years. For 10 years, the twin wall rigid flue will be needed.

The stove and liner have to be installed according to the conditions of the warranty. The other conditions are your responsibility after the install.Having your stove serviced once a year is one of the things they typically include.

The body of the stove is usually covered by the warranty. The removal or re-fitting of the existing liner is not covered by the liner warranty.

Blazing Burners can service your stove. We will be in touch after the installation with our service contract.

Upon completion of your installation, a notice plate is provided. It provides information essential to the correct application and use of the facilities we have installed and is a requirement by law that it should be permanently posted in the building.

If you have a wood or multi-fuel stove that outputs more than 5Kw, then you will need additional ventilation. This is a government policy. This will allow for efficient burning and will protect people from the harmful effects of burning.

The amount of air supply depends on the output of your stove. The Lookryt vent is the best type of additional Ventilation we like to install.

A gas called Carbon Monoxide is released in the process of burning. This gas is harmful to your health. The amount of CO released in this process is not harmful. The efficiency of your stove and system should not be compromised if your log burner and chimney system are serviced yearly. An additional precautionary measure must be taken which is a CO alarm.Blazing Burners will fit a CO alarm according to British Standards.

To make sure your CO alarm works correctly, it's a good idea to have it tested weekly. You will be notified in the unlikely event of excessive CO leaking.Symptoms of CO poisoning include headaches, weakness, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, confusion, blurred vision and loss of consciousness.
