The Remote Desktop app in Windows 8 can be used to connect other Windows computers.
Step 1: To connect to the computer, click the Start button.
You can start a remote connection from any Windows 8 computer, but only if you have a specific version of Windows.This will only work on local networks.It won't work over the internet.You can use chrome remote desktop if you need to connect to your computer over the internet.
Step 2: Press enter if you want to type winver.
When typing on the Start screen, it will start searching.
Step 3: Underneath Microsoft's copyright for your Windows version, you can see it.
Underneath Microsoft's copyright information, you'll see the name of your Windows version.There is only one version of Windows 8 that can be connected to: Windows 8.1 Pro.
Step 4: Click the Start button again if you need to.
Incoming connections need to be enabled for the computer to support a remote connection.If the computer you're connecting to isn't running a pro or enterprise version of Windows, you can use chrome remote desktop.
Step 5: You can allow a remote.
Step 6: Allow remote access to your computer.
Step 7: Allow connections from any version of remote desktop.
Click the "allow connections from computers running any version of Remote Desktop" option.
Step 8: Click on the users that you want to select.
Step 9: Click it to add it.
Step 10: To select the field, click the enter object names.
Step 11: You can enter the name of the user you want to allow.
If you want to be able to remotely access this computer, you need to enter your Windows password.
Step 12: Click OK if you want to continue.
The user will be able to connect to the computer from another location.
Step 13: The remote computer's name can be found.
Click the Start button if you need the full computer name.Press Enter to type the system.The computer name can be found in the "Computer name, domain, and workgroup settings" section.
Step 14: You can open the app on your other computer.
You can get the app for free from the Windows Store if you don't have it.If it's installed, click the Windows button, type remote desktop, and press Enter.
Step 15: You can type the name of the computer you're connecting to.
It's important to enter in the full name you found.
Step 16: You can connect by clicking.
Step 17: The remote computer can be controlled from within the app.
You can see the remote computer's desktop when you're connected.The remote computer can be used to control your own computer.
Step 18: If you want to access the computer, install Chrome.
If you can't use the Windows Remote Desktop app because it's incompatible with another version, you're able to use chrome remote desktop.This requires both computers to have chrome installed.You can install chrome on your computer.Follow the instructions to install it after you click the download button.
Step 19: You can open the browser on the computer you want to access.
After installing it, you'll be able to find it on your desktop.
Step 20: Visit the store.
You can go to the store in your browser.
Step 21: Find a remote desktop.
Step 22: Next to the remote desktop is a link to add to chrome.
You can find this result in the apps section of the search results.
Step 23: Click to add the app.
Step 24: You can type in chrome://apps into the address bar.
This will show your apps.
Step 25: Click on the chrome remote desktop.
Step 26: Click to get started.
Step 27: Click to enable remote connections
Step 28: You can type a PIN.
The PIN will be used to connect to the computer.
Step 29: If you click yes, you'll get a reply.
The remote service will be installed.
Step 30: You have to sign in with your account.
To enable remote access, you'll need to sign in with a Google account.
Step 31: The PIN will be entered to confirm.
There is now remote access for that computer.
Step 32: The computer you want to connect from has chrome installed.
You need Chrome on the host computer as well as the client computer.
Step 33: The chrome remote desktop app is required.
You can install the app on the web store in Chrome.
Step 34: Go to chrome://apps in your browser.
You can see the list of apps that have been installed.
Step 35: Click on the chrome remote desktop app.
Step 36: If you click, you will get started.
You can find this in the My Computers section.
Step 37: Click on the computer you want to connect to.
You can see the computer that was set up for Chrome Remote Desktop.
Step 38: You can type in the PIN that you created.
Step 39: Click it to connect.
Step 40: The computer can be usedremotely.
You will have complete control over the remote computer inside your browser window.
