Rules to play the left right center dice game.
Anyone can play the dice game.It makes a good game for family gatherings, holiday parties, summer get-togethers, or other such events because it requires three or more players and can be played with both small and large groups.
Like slot machines or bingo, LCR doesn't require any skill or decision making. It is simple to play and provides a lot of excitement.
The boxed version of the game can be played with any three regular 6-sided dice.
Rules Variations - alternate rules to LCR that you can use to add variety to your games is a clear and concise explanation of the game rules.
The players roll the dice to see which direction they should go with their chips. The only player with any remaining chips is the object of the game.
You can play the game with any normal 6-sided dice, even though the retail version comes with three specialty dice.
Ideally, all players should sit around a table that provides a surface for rolling the dice, but any type of seating arrangement can be used as long as the players are in a circular formation. The center pot is where chips will be placed during the game.
Pick a player to be the starter. This can be the youngest or oldest player, the player who won the previous game, or any other method.
The players will take turns in a clockwise order until the game ends.
In the retail version of the game, each die has an L, C, R, and a single dot on one side. You can use any regular 6-sided dice.
Take an action based on what was rolled after rolling the dice and looking at each die one at a time.
If you had 5 chips and rolled an L, a C, and a dot, you would give one chip to the player on your left and put the other in the center pot.You have 3 chips left.
If you lose all your chips, you are still in the game, but you don't roll any dice or take any actions. If other players give you chips and you have chips again, you take your turn as usual.
If only one player has chips remaining, that player is the winner. They get to keep all the chips in front of them as well as the ones in the center pot.
Like the original game, the LCR Wild variation can be played with normal 6-sided dice.
One side of each die is marked with a Wild symbol, but if you use regular dice, the 1 side can be used as the Wild side.
The additional rule that gives players a decision to make on their turn can be added to the LCR Wild variant.
If you pay 3 of your chips to the center pot, you can change the effect of the dice from give to take.
If you roll an L or a 4 you take the chip from the player on your left instead of giving them a chip. When you roll an R, you take a chip from the player on your right, and the center pot if you go for a C.
The Wild effect is also altered by this.If you roll one or two 1s, instead of taking chips, you should give them to your friends. If you roll all Wilds on your turn, you must give all your chips to the center pot, instead of taking all the chips.
A player must put their last chip into the center pot to win.If they only have one chip left, they need to roll a C or 4 in order to win.All players have a chance to win if one chip remains in the game.
When playing for stakes, this variant is particularly good. The game is the same as regular LCR except that the last player with chips doesn't automatically win. They need to roll dots on the dice in order to win.The game continues if they pass chips to the players on their left or right. All players play another game if they pass their last chip to the center pot.
