The Scrabble game is a slam!There are two versions of the card game, a basic 55 card edition for 2 to 4 players and an 84 card version for two to 6 players.The object of the fast-paced game is to be the first player to get rid of your cards by playing them on the word in play to make new words.There is a Scrabble Slam!It is a fun game for the entire family to play.
Step 1: Decide how many people will be present.
The 84-card edition is designed for up to 6 players.After the starting word is made, the deck will be divided among all the players, meaning fewer cards in each person's hand.
Step 2: You can choose the beginning word.
Changing one of the letters in the starting word can make it into another 4-letter word."GAME", "LAME," "GATE," or "GAZE" are good starting words."ECHO" and "EXAM" are not well-known 4-letter words.
Step 3: You need to draw four cards and place them in a circle.
You can place these cards on a table or surface where everyone can see them.They should be forming the starting word for you.If you put the cards on top of each other, leave a bit of space between them.
Step 4: The remaining cards should be dealt by all of the players.
To make sure everyone gets a good mixture of letters, you may want to shuffle the cards first.When you are done dealing the cards, make sure everyone has the same number of cards.All of the cards should be dealt to the players.
Step 5: Make sure everyone knows how the cards work.
The cards are two-sided.They are printed with a letter on one side and a blank space on the other.Either side of the card can be used to make a legal word, with the blank serving as a "wild letter" as in the Scrabble board game.Look at the left edge of your cards instead of flipping them back and forth.The two letters that the card represents are visible at the upper left edge.
Step 6: The game should be started.
"Ready, set, slam" is the official call to begin play, but you can also call it "Go," "Start," or something similar.It's a good idea to let your fellow players know that the game is starting.Scrabble Slam!Everyone needs to be ready to play when the game starts.
Step 7: As soon as you recognize you have a play, place a letter on the word to make a new one.
Scrabble Slam!The players don't take turns placing new letters on the word.If you are playing with young children, you may want to make teams to give them more chances to play.Words in a game.They are the same as in the Scrabble crossword game, you can't use abbreviations or words with apostrophes.The same letter cannot be played the same way.If the current word is "BALE," you can't play another B on top of the B in the word.If you can change the word to "GALE" and then play a "B" to do it again, another player will change it to something else.
Step 8: "Time out!", you should say.
To challenge a word.You can call for a time out if you don't think one of your teammates has played a real game.If necessary, consult a dictionary and stop playing to discuss the legitimacy of the word.If the word isn't a legal Scrabble Slam.The letter card used to make the word must be returned by the player making it.
Step 9: Continue playing if someone wins the game.
When one player has no more cards or legal plays left, the game is over.You can declare a winner at this point.The winner is whoever gets rid of all of their cards first.Whoever has the most cards left at the end of the game is the winner.
