Solitaire is designed for solo players and requires a large group of people to enjoy. The game can provide hours of entertainment and is a great way to pass time.It takes less than a minute to set up and can be assembled almost anywhere if you know the board layout and rules.
Step 1: The deck needs to be rearranged.
You will need a traditional pack of playing cards to play Solitaire.Open your pack and discard the cards. To make sure the deck is mixed up, shuffle the cards a couple of times.
Step 2: There are seven cards in a row.
Place the first card on your left-hand side.In order for each card to have its own spot, deal six more cards face-down in a row to the right of this card. You should have seven cards when you're done. The first one on the left should be facing up.The main cards that you will use to play Solitaire are called your "Tableau."When you have dealt all of the cards, your Tableau will look like an upside down staircase.
Step 3: If you want to deal six cards, skip the first card.
You will need to deal six more cards. There is a second stack of cards from the left.If you want to move the stacks to the right, you have to deal one card face down.
Step 4: If you want to deal five cards, you have to count over to the third card.
Start with the third stack over from the left.Four more cards are to be dealt to the right of this stack.
Step 5: The first four cards are dealt with the fourth stack.
If you want to start with the fourth stack over from the left, you have to deal one card face up onto this stack and three cards facing down.To the right of this stack, place one card.
Step 6: Get rid of the first four cards and deal three.
In your row of seven card stacks, place the fifth card from the left.If you want to deal one card to each of the two stacks to the right, you have to face up on this stack.
Step 7: Then deal two with the sixth card.
Count over to the sixth stack from the left and deal a card to this stack. Then, place one card on the right side of the stack. The last stack in your row should be this one.
Step 8: One last card to face up.
There is only one stack left that does not have a face up card. The stack should be on the right. There is a stack of cards facing up.The stack should have six cards facing down and one facing up.Your tableau is complete after you dealt this last card. The next part of setting up will be easy because dealing the tableau is the hardest part.
Step 9: The cards should be placed face down.
You can place the cards that you left just above the Tableau on the left-hand side after you've finished setting up your stacks. This is your stock or hand pile.As you play the game, you will draw cards from this pile.If you want to be sure that the cards are shuffled correctly, you can shuffle them again. This is not mandatory.
Step 10: The space for your discard pile needs to be identified.
The discard pile is where you will discard cards that you can't use.The pile will be empty at the start of the game.If you reserve a space next to your Stock pile, you will be able to create your Talon pile during the game. The Stock pile is to the right of the Talon pile.If you have exhausted your Talon pile, you can flip it over onto the Stock pile space again.
Step 11: Don't leave room for your Foundation piles.
As you play Solitaire, you will place the cards in the Foundation piles. At the start of your game, your Foundation piles will be empty, so you need to reserve some space above your Tableau. You should have enough room to place four stacks of cards.
Step 12: You can learn the object.
You will need a few minutes to learn how to play Solitaire if you have never played it before. The goal of a game of Solitaire is to transfer all of the cards in the deck and the stacks to your foundation piles. You start the game with nothing in these piles and arrange cards in the stacks according to suit. One stack might begin with the ace of spades, so only the two spades can be placed in the next stack. You can't place the three of spades until the two are in place.
Step 13: Place and draw cards.
To play, you will need to draw and place cards. If you can't use it, discard it or play it on one of your stacks. If the color and sequence are correct, you can play a card on one of your tableau stacks. The colors can be red and black. If one stack has a five of hearts on it and you draw a four of clubs, then you could play the clubs on the five hearts.
Step 14: Move and flip cards.
You can expose face-down cards by moving cards between stacks. You can use a face down card when it's exposed. If one stack has a five of hearts on it, then you could move the six of spades stack to the other stack. If you expose a face-down card, you can either use it or leave it in place.
Step 15: You can reuse the discard pile.
When you have exhausted the discard pile, you can use those cards again. If you want to flip the deck, draw one card at a time.
Step 16: To clear the cards, transfer them to the foundation piles.
When you expose cards and draw cards, you will be able to transfer them to the foundation piles above your tableau stacks. Each pile needs to start with an ace card and there should only be one stack per suit. You will win the game if each stack has an ace through the king set.
