Setting up the Wemo Smart Light Switch, F7C030, is done by Belkin.
It only takes a few minutes to set up the Wemo Light switch.If you can't identify a load wire or line wire, please call a professional electrician.Australian law requires that Wemo Light switch be installed by a professional electrician.You can learn more at www.jimselectrical.com.au.
The Wemo Light switch isn't designed to work with metal faceplates because they interfere with the wi-fi signal.The light switch should only be used for dry indoor locations.

Shut off the power to the circuit breaker.You need to flip the switch a few times to make sure the power is off.The wires from the old switch need to be disconnected using a screw driver.
The Wemo light switch needs to be installed.You need to connect the two wires from the light switch to the available wires.If you find more than one wire, put them into the wire nut.
If you have a Ground wire, you can connect it to the green wire on the Wemo Light switch.
The Neutral wires are held together by a wire nut.The white wire should be connected to the outlet's exposed neutral wires.Wrap electrical tape around the wire nuts to make sure the copper conductor is completely hidden.
Attach the Wemo Light switch to the faceplate.To allow as much space for the switch as possible, push all the wires back into the wall box.The Wemo Light switch has two screw terminals.If you want to use metal faceplates, be aware that they may interfere with your wi-fi signal.
If the Wemo Light switch has been successfully installed to your electrical line, you can manually switch it on.
The Wemo Light switch is on your electrical line.Don't try to do it yourself if you have electrical concerns, call a professional electrician.

Where applicable, this product is licensed to you by Belkin and its suppliers.Any and all software programs, applications or "apps" and associated files provided with respect to the Product; all modified versions of and upgrades or improvements to such programs are included.Open Source Software is not included in the software.
By "you", we mean the purchaser, recipient or other end user of the Product containing the Software on a stand-alone basis.A person who has downloaded the Software from an authorized website, such as http://www.belkin.com or Apple's App Store, is referred to as you.
1.There is a license grant.Where your Product is not a " Small-Medium Business or SMB" branded Product, you can use it for your personal, non-commercial purposes.You can make as many copies of the Software as you need for your own use if you follow the instructions in the user documentation.

2.There are license restrictions.The software is not for sale.The Software can only be used in accordance with this Agreement.You cannot modify, adapt or otherwise create derivative works from the Software, the Product containing theSoftware or user documentation without receiving prior written consent from Belkin.All rights not granted to you by Belkin are reserved.You won't get such rights through estoppel, implication, or otherwise.
3.There are app software reconciliations.You are subject to the terms of use of the App Store if you have downloaded the software.It is possible that the terms of use will prohibit you from doing some of the things you are allowed to do under this Agreement.The App Store terms of use may result in other terms not being applicable to the Software or applying in a different way than the Agreement states.If your use of the Software is subject to an App Store's terms of use, then in the event of any conflict or ambiguity between those terms and the App Stores terms, the app store will govern, but only to the extent.By using the Software, you acknowledge and agree that it is solely your responsibility to understand the terms of this Agreement and any App Store that may be relevant to the Product.
4.There are updated grades and updates.There is no requirement for Belkin to give you an upgrade or update to this Software.Unless accompanied by a separate end user license agreement, the terms of any upgrade provided by Belkin will be governed by this Agreement.You understand that if you don't use an upgrade or update provided by Belkin, you could put the Software at risk of serious security threats or cause it to become unstable.An auto-update feature is included in some products.The settings within the Product account can be changed.Even though the auto-update setting is used, updates may still be applied.We can provide an automatic update that fixes a vulnerability to your network.We can provide you with updated Software data files to help you find new devices in your network.The data files are not an update to your firmware, but a collection of software files that are on your product.You agree to automatic updates by agreeing to this Agreement.
5.There is data and privacy.We want to protect your privacy.Our goal is to provide you with a positive experience when using our apps, products and services, while at the same time keeping your Personal Information, as defined in the Privacy Policy, secure.The Privacy Policy describes our privacy practices, as well as separate notices when an app, product or service is purchased or downloaded.By providing us with your Personal Information, you are agreeing to the practices, terms and conditions described in the Privacy Policy.At all times your information will be treated in accordance with the Belkin Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference into this Agreement and can be viewed here.
6.There is an open source software.You acknowledge that the software may contain open source software.This license does not apply to the Open Source Software.The Open Source Software license's terms and conditions should apply to it.This Agreement does not limit your rights or grant you rights that supersede any Open Source Software license.You acknowledge that the Open Source Software license is between you and the licensor.If there are any applicable Open Source Software licenses, you must comply with them.The Open Source Software license and copyright information can be found in the Product documentation, as well as within the "Support" tab on the Belkin websites.Belkin is not obligated to provide any maintenance or support for the Open Source Software or any Product Software that has been modified by you.
Any software component or technology that is subject to an open source license is referred to as Open Source Software.Open source licenses make source code available for free modification and distribution, but can also apply to technology received and distributed solely in object code form.The Lesser/Library GPL is an example of an open source license.
7.There are inherent property rights.All title and intellectual property rights (including without limitation all copyrights, patents, trade secret rights and trademark rights) in and to the Software are owned by Belkin or its suppliers.The Software must be treated like any other material protected by laws and treaties relating to international property rights.
There are 8.There are third party products and services.Links or other features that make it easier for you to visit or log-in toLinked Sites may be contained in the Software.These features are provided for convenience.Belkin is not responsible for and does not endorse the content or practices of the linked sites, including any information or materials contained in them.You have to make your own judgement on your interaction with these sites.You waive and release any legal claim you might have against Belkin with respect to these sites or third-party products or services and your use of them.The privacy policy of each website you visit should be read by you.
There are 9.Independentness.If Belkin is the subject of a claim, becomes involved in a legal proceeding, or suffers any economic loss or damage as a result of your violation of this Agreement, you will be responsible for the full amount of its loss.
10.There is a term.This Agreement is effective when you click on the "I Accept" button, or if you use, copy or install the Software, which will constitute your acceptance of, and agreement to, this Agreement.Until terminated, this Agreement remains in effect.If you don't comply with the terms and conditions of the Agreement, the limited license will be terminated.You agree that you will immediately destroy all programs and documentation related to the Software, including all copies made or obtained by you, if you are to be terminated.You must uninstall the Software immediately if it has been installed on a personal computer or mobile device.You must stop using the product if the software is embedded.Section 1 and the limited warranty in Section 12 will not be terminated.
11.There is a notice regarding your consumer rights.Some states and/or provinces do not allow the sale of products or services with no guarantees.Some or all of the sections below "LIMITED WARRANTY AND DISCLAIMER" and "GENERAL EXCLUSIONS AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY" are not applicable to you.Belkin's liability will be limited to the maximum extent allowed by law.You may have additional rights depending on where you live.In Australia and New Zealand, our software and the media on which it is provided are subject to statutory guarantees.
This agreement is not intended to change or limit the rights of the person who sold it.You agree to use the software in accordance with all applicable laws.
CERTAIN LEGISLATION, INCLUDING THE AUSTRALIAN CONSUMER LAW, may have different meanings.No condition, warranty, guarantee, right or REMEDY is excluded from this agreement.If any condition, warranty or guarantee is implied into this Agreement or imposed on Belkin under Applicable Laws and cannot be excluded, but Belkin has a choice of a remedy, then Belkin's liability is limited to one or more of the following.In addition to these remedies, a consumer may claim for any loss or damage that results from the initial problem.
There are 12.There is a limited warranty andDISCLAIMER.The Software will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for 90 days from the date of purchase.The software media will be replaced if you make an eligible claim during the warranty period.If you wish to make a claim under this limited warranty, you must return the media along with the sales receipt to the following address: Belkin International, Inc., 12045 E. Waterfront Drive, Playa Vista, CA 90094.The media's failure can be caused by accident, abuse, or misapplication.For the remainder of the original warranty period or thirty days, any replacement media will be warranted.In relation to consumers who are entitled to the benefit of the CGA, the media on which Software is provided comes with guarantees that cannot be excluded under New Zealand law, and this limited warranty is in addition to any statutory rights such consumers may have.In Australia, this limited warranty does not apply.The Australian Consumer Law gives consumers statutory rights in relation to the software and media that is provided.
Except for this limited warranty on media, subject to section 11 and to the maximum EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, the software and any related programs and documentation is not provided to you.In those areas where it is possible to do so, and to the fullest extent permitted by law, Belkin's Resources and its SUPPLIERS HEREBY DISCLAIMS ALL OTHER WARRANTIES.There is no written information or advice given by Belkin.The duration of the relevant Warranty Period is what the warranties are limited to.
The use of the software, product and related programs is at your own risk.You are responsible for all losses and damages, including to your home, electrical system, plumbing, product, computer, and mobile device.You are responsible for making sure that the product is safe.If you don't want to use the product after reading the safety warnings, you have to return it to the store or stop using the software.Belkin isn't responsible for your failure to follow safety warnings, precautions or any other instructions provided with the product and/or software.
You should be aware that the software and any related programs are not certified for emergency response in certain environments.The products and software do not have a third-party notification system.Belkin will notpatch emergency authorities to your home in the event of an emergency.Customer support is not a substitute for emergency services.All emergencies should be directed to the appropriate emergency response services in your area.
It is your responsibility to back up your system, including without limitation, any material, information or data that you may use or possess in connection with the Product or Software, and Belkin has no liability for your failure to do so.
The energy consumption in the home may be monitored.There is no guarantee of any specific level of energy savings or other monetary benefit from the use of the Products or Software.Factors beyond Belkin's control or knowledge can affect actual energy savings and monetary benefits.If you adopt suggestions or features of the Product or Software, Belkin will provide you with information that is unique to you and your energy usage, and suggest an opportunity to save money on energy bills.If your savings differ, you agree not to seek monetary or other remedies from Belkin, and you acknowledge that this information is not a guarantee of actual savings.All information provided to you by Belkin is available.We can't say that it's correct or up to date.It is not a substitute for direct access to the information in the home in cases where it is critical.
13The general limitations and limitations of liability may not apply to you.This agreement gives you specific legal rights.In no event will Belkin, its AFFILIATES, ASSOCIATES, DEALERS, AGENTS, SUPPLIERS, or their RESPECTIVE OFFICERS be liable for any damages.In no event will Belkin, its AFFILIATES, ASSOCIATES, DEALERS, AGENTS, SUPPLIERS, or anyone else be held responsible for the cost of the product, the software or the media.This limitation will not be increased by the existence of more than one incident.If a warranty or REMEDY provided the essential purpose, the bounds will apply.There is nothing in this section that will limit the liability of Belkin in relation to death or grievous injuries.
"SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, DAMAGES, PUNITIVE or INCIDENTAL" is what it means if you live in the European Union.
The warranties and remedies set out in this Agreement are exclusive, and to the extent permitted by law, in lieu of all others oral or written, express or implied.
There are 14.You agree that the use of the Software is subject to U.S. and local export control laws.You represent and warrant that you are not a citizen of an embargoed or terrorist supporting country or a prohibited or restricted end user under applicable U.S. or local export and anti-terrorism laws.You agree to strictly comply with all export control laws and regulations and agree not to export, re-export, divert, transfer or disclose any portion of the Software or any related technical information or materials, directly or indirectly, in violation of any applicable export law or regulation.
15.The Software and user documentation are considered commercial items by the U.S. government.2.101 and 48 C.F.R.12.21.The rights that apply to non-governmental customers are what the U.S. government uses to acquire the Software and user documentation.The Software and user documentation are both commercial computer software and must be accepted by the U.S. Government.
16.There are general terms.If any portion of this Agreement or any of its terms is found to be void or unenforceable by law in a particular jurisdiction, such portion or terms will be interpreted and enforced to the fullest extent allowed, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.The entire agreement between Belkin and you with respect to the Software and your use of it supersedes any conflicting or additional terms contained in any purchase order or elsewhere.Only a written instrument accepted by Belkin and you can waive, modify or supersede this Agreement.The manner in which the document describes the Belkin Privacy Policy is subject to change.As a convenience to users, Belkin may provide translations of this Agreement.The English version of this Agreement will govern in the event of a conflict between the English and non-English versions.Any suppliers of Belkin will be direct and intended third-party beneficiaries of this Agreement, including without limitation with respect to the disclaimers of warranties and limitations on liability set forth here.A person or entity who is not a party to the Agreement will not have the right to enforce it.Failure or delay in exercising any right or remedy will not operate as a waiver of that right.The language of this Agreement will not be construed strictly for or against either party, regardless of who drafted it or who was principally responsible for drafting it.The rights and obligations under this Agreement are not assignable by you.The parties and their successors and permitted assigns will benefit from this Agreement.In the event of any legal proceeding between the parties arising out of or related to this Agreement, the prevailing party will be entitled to recover its costs and expenses, in addition to any other relief awarded or granted.
Generally.You and Belkin agree to each other's terms, including the validity of this section.Without this provision, you would have had the right to file a lawsuit in a court before a jury or judge.
ARBITRATION PROCEDURES AND FEES.If the other party wants to try to resolve the dispute, they should not submit a claim before that happens.If the case isn't resolved within 60 days, the claim will be submitted.The current and applicable rules of JAMs are the basis for the forfeiture of damages.There is a requirement for a retired judge or justice to be present before a single bandit.As long as your claim is not found to be frivolous by the court, you are free to proceed.Belkin will pay for your attorney's fees if the ARBITRATION AWARD is greater than the amount you want.Any decision or award by the arbiter may be final and binding on each party.If either party brings a lawsuit in a court, the judge may award the other party reasonable costs and expenses.Unless otherwise required by law or for purposes of enforcement, the existing content or results of any apostasy will not be closed.Judgement on any ARBITRATION AWARD can be entered in a court of competent jurisdiction.The REMAINDER IS GIVEN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT if there is a court that is unwilling or unable to adjudicate the case.
There is a small claims court.If you are a member of a class or a private attorney, you have the right to join or clear any grievances against other consumers.Without thisVISION, you may have had a right to intervene in a lawsuit, but you agree not to do so.NotWITHSTANDING THE AGREEMENT TO ARBITRATE DISPUTES, you and the other party agree that there is an alternative to aRBITRATION that can be brought in small claims court.
GOVERNING LAW; INJUNCTIVE RELIEF.This agreement is to be carried out in compliance with the laws of the state of California.If you live in a country that markets or promotes the software, local law may require that certain protections apply.Belkin may have an interest in protecting its property rights.The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods will not apply to this agreement.
The location is (E) VENUE.There are only small lawsuits which can be brought in any small lawsuit court.You can choose whether the forfeiture is in person, by phone, or only on commission.
Section 18 applies to you if you are located outside of the United States or if Section 17 doesn't apply at all.
18.There is a governing law.The Agreement will be governed by California law, without reference to its or any other jurisdiction's conflict of laws principles.You irrevocably consent to the jurisdiction of the courts and venue in Los Angeles, California, where any action arising out of or relating to this Agreement may be brought.If you live in a country where Belkin markets or distributes the Software, local law may require that certain consumer protection laws of your country of residence apply to some sections of this Agreement.Injunctive relief can be sought in any court that has jurisdiction to protect intellectual property rights.The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods will not apply to this Agreement.
