Differin Gentle Cleanser is compatible for everyday use with Differin Gel. Differin Gel is not used in the same way as a spot treatment, it should be applied to the entire face, once daily. To help maintain hydrated skin, use a moisturizer like Differin Oil Absorbing Moisturizer after each application.
Can you use a cleanser with Differin Gel?
Answer: Good question! Differin Daily Deep Cleanser contains benzoyl peroxide. Using more than one acne medication with Differin Gel can lead to irritation, so we suggest using our Gentle Cleanser if you're treating with the Gel.
Does Differin cleanser contain adapalene?
Differin Gentle Cleanser is specially formulated to be gentle and effective on skin. It conditions skin while it cleanses and contains no soaps, fragrances, benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, adapalene or other acne-fighting ingredient.
Where should you not use Differin?
Do not apply this medicine to windburned or sunburned skin or on open wounds. Do not use this medicine in or around the eyes, lips, or inside of the nose. Spread the medicine away from these areas when applying. If the medicine accidently gets on these areas, wash with water at once.
Can I use adapalene with other products?
Do not apply any other skin products unless your doctor has told you to. Avoid getting this medicine in your eyes, nose, or mouth. You may use a skin moisturizer if your skin becomes dry while using adapalene. Avoid creams or lotions that contain alpha hydroxy or glycolic acids.
