Store hooks.

Finding a way to keep your hangers out of the way can be difficult.Fortunately, there are a couple of tricks you can use to organize your hangers so that they are neatly stored away until you need them again.

Step 1: Your hangers are separated by material.

There are separate piles for wood, metal, plastic, and soft, padded hangers. It will be easier for you to find the kind you need in the future if you separate your hangers.

Step 2: You have to organize your hangers in stacks.

As you stack them, keep your hangers separated. To stack your hangers, lay them on a flat surface and stack them neatly on top of each other.Don't add more than 10 to a stack. You may need to make multiple stacks of each kind of hangers if you have a lot of them.

Step 3: To hold the hangers in place, Wrap a rubber band around each stack.

Wrap the rubber band around the hook part of the hangers.Put the rubber band around the bottom of the hangers. If some of the rubber bands break, you may want to use more than one rubber band on each stack.

Step 4: There should be a place for the stacks of hangers to be stored.

You can either put them in a pile at the bottom of your closet or put a box in the garage. You can keep the hangers in a pile in the basement. The rubber bands around the stacks will keep the hangers in order.

Step 5: Cut out a strip from the side of the box.

The cut-out section should run from the top of the box to the bottom. When you store your hangers in the box, the hook part will go here. The cut out section should be 2.5 cm thick. If you have a lot of hangers, you may need to use more than one box.

Step 6: Put your hangers on top of each other.

Put one of your hangers on a flat surface and then stack the rest neatly on top of it so they are all facing in the same direction. If the box you are storing them in is taller than the stack of hangers, they won't fit.

Step 7: Attach the hooks to the outside of the box.

The thin stems of the hooks should go through the section you cut out from the side. The bottom parts of the hangers should be inside the box, with the hook parts outside of it.The box will not be able to hold the hangers if they shift around in it.

Step 8: Move the box to a storage area.

Your closet, garage, or basement is a good place to keep your box of hangers.Pull the top hanger out of the stack when you need a hanger from the box.You may need to tape the box to keep it closed.
