If you drink rosehip tea regularly during the colder months it will help you with a cold.During the autumn months, roses are ideal for harvesting, as they are ready to be used in tea and other preparations.
Step 1: The water needs to be boiled.
Make sure you have enough water to make as many cups of tea as you want.Carefully pour the water into a heatproof bowl after it has been boiled.How much water you have boiled will affect the size of the bowl.
Step 2: Take a small amount of dried rosehips.
The rosehips should be placed in the water.The water needs to completely cover the rosehips.If you find that it doesn't, either boil and add more hot water or use a spoon to push the rosehips down to the bottom of the bowl.
Step 3: For 10–15 minutes, steep the water and the rosehips.
Do not cover the bowl.
Step 4: Once the time is up, pour the tea into the cups.
The water will be cool if you drink the tea immediately.
Step 5: Pick the plants.
After the first frosts, do this.
Step 6: Don't wash the rosehips.
The top and tail of each rosehip should be removed.
Step 7: Take half of the rosehip.
All of the seeds need to be removed.
Step 8: The rosehip halves can be placed on a baking sheet or tray.
Step 9: If you want to bake, place in a cool oven.
It is appropriate to have a temperature around 120oC.
Step 10: The dried rosehips should be removed from the oven.
Step 11: To make a fine texture, blend or process.
Transfer the dried rosehips to a container.
Step 12: The dried rosehip mixture can be used for tea.
Step 13: A tea leaf holder has a small amount of tea in it.
You can put it in the mug or cup.
Step 14: The water should be boiling.
Remove the tea leaf holder after 5 to 7 minutes of steeping.If you add it straight, strain the tea out of the cup.
