The air quality is bad today, why?
We have somewhat bad air a lot.Thanks to the recent fires and things like the AQI.gov loop becoming more well-known, I think people are now aware that it happens.
Smog used to be observably worse, but we've had things like Spare the Air days for a long time.It has gotten better in recent years.Our air is not the best all the time.
In winter, we get an inverted layer that sets up, meaning it's warmer up than down.There is a lack of air movement low to the ground and an inability for smog to escape out.
It's not unusual at all.It's funny because people are actually looking at the maps when they see haze.
