The background should be removed with the elements.
One of the most useful skills you can learn is removing the background from an image.This will allow you to stick the subject in any picture that you want, without having to deal with large expanses of plain white.Depending on how complex the background is, there are a couple ways to remove it.You can learn how to get rid of a background in a program.
Step 1: A solid background is needed to open an image.
If the background is close to a solid color, this method works best.The following steps can be used to open and image in the program.You can choose an image with a background.Click.
Step 2: A layer can be created from the background layer.
The Layers panel is where you'll need to do this.It is usually on the right side.Most images that haven't been edited before have a single layer called "Background".You need to convert it to a standard layer in the Layers panel to be able to edit it.The Layers panel is on the right side.Click followed by if you don't see it.The following steps can be used to create a layer from the background.Click on the Background layer.Select.Leave the options at their preset.
Step 3: The tool to use is the Magic Eraser.
The Magic Eraser can be selected by clicking the icon at the bottom of the screen.
Step 4: The Magic Eraser settings should be adjusted.
There are settings in the top menu bar when you select the Magic Eraser.You can set the following settings.When using the tool, a low tolerance will keep parts of your original image from being erased.Lower the tolerance if the magic erases too much of your subject.If the background isn't erased enough, increase the tolerance.The Magic Eraser settings can be adjusted using the following steps.The Anti-alias box should be checked.Check the box.Set the Opacity to 100%.
Step 5: You can click the background.
The Magic Eraser will turn the color that you clicked on into a transparent background.The last thing you did can be undone if the Magic Eraser erases something you don't want erased.The History panel can be used to reverse several steps.Click in the menu bar at the top to see the History panel if you don't see it.
Step 6: Any leftover background should be erased.
The entire background can be erased with one click if the background is a solid color.If it has more than one color, you may have to click different areas of the background to remove it.If there are any parts of the background around the edges of your subject that need to be erased, you can use the regular eraser tool.The brush menu can be displayed with the circle (brush) icon in the upper- left corner.Pick one of the brushes.You can lower the Hardness level by 10% if you want to feather the edges around your shape.To adjust the size of the brush, press it.
Step 7: Save your picture.
You now have an object with a transparent background that can be superimposed onto other images.You need to save the iamge in an image format that supports transparent images.Click to save your image.You can enter a name for the file.There is a drop-down menu next to "Format."Click on it.
Step 8: You can open the elements of the program.
It has a black icon with an image that looks like a camera shutter.Click the icon to open it.
Step 9: You can open an image with a background.
There are images that have a more complex background that work well with this method.The following steps can be used to open an image.You can choose an image with a background.Click.
Step 10: You can use the Background Eraser tool.
The Background Eraser tool can be selected by clicking on the icon that resembles an eraser.The Background Eraser tool is at the bottom of the screen.
Step 11: You should set your brush options.
The brush options can be found in the panel at the top of the program.To display the brush menu, click the circle icon in the upper- left corner.Pick one of the brushes.The edges of the brush should be removed as much as the center if the Hardness is set to 100%.The image you have will dictate the diameter you set.
Step 12: The limits should be set.
If the colors are touching, this will remove the color from the circle.This will help prevent the subject of the photo from being deleted.The Dis contiguous option can be used to remove the background from the isolated spots of the image.
Step 13: Set a low tolerance.
The areas that are very similar to the sample color have a low tolerance.A high tolerance makes the range of colors disappear.You can set your tolerance between 20 and 30.Lower the tolerance if the background erases part of the subject.If the background isn't erased enough, raise the tolerance.
Step 14: The pointer should be brought to the edge of the subject.
There is a circle with small crosshairs.The clicked color is deleted wherever it appears inside the brush circle by the crosshairs.If the foreground object is later pasted into another image, the color halos will not be visible.
Step 15: Click on the edges of the subject.
As you erase the background around the edges of the subject, use single clicks.To get close to the edge of the photo, use single clicks.
Step 16: Check your progress.
You can see the checkerboard pattern when you click and drag.The checkerboard shows transparency.
Step 17: The rest of the background should be erased by increasing the eraser brush size.
The regular and background erasers can be used.If you want to remove the rest of the background, you have to increase the brush size and click and drag to do so.To make sure you don't make any mistakes.You can go back several steps if you open the History panel to the right.Click in the menu bar at the top to see the History panel if you don't see it.
Step 18: Remove any background around the edges.
If there is any remaining background around the subject, you can use the regular Eraser tool to remove it.
Step 19: Take your picture and save it.
You now have an object with a transparent background that can be superimposed onto other images.You need to save the iamge in an image format that supports transparent images.Click to save your image.You can enter a name for the file.There is a drop-down menu next to "Format."Click on it.
Step 20: Open the program.

Step 21: If you want to remove the background from the image, open it.
The method allows you to separate the subject from the background.Click it.You can choose an image with a background.Click.
Step 22: The tool is called the Polygonal Lasso tool.
The Polygonal Lasso tool has an icon that looks like a lasso.Click the Lasso tool to access it.The tool is at the bottom.
Step 23: Click the grey line along the edge of your subject.
A new spot is created with a new line attached to your mouse.
Step 24: Use the Polygonal Lasso tool to trace the shape of your subject.
To create an outline around your subjects, click along the edges of your subject.It will take more clicks to get the right shape.Straight lines don't require a lot of clicks.Make sure the grey line outlines the shape of your subject as accurately as possible by taking your time.The Magnetic Lasso tool can be used in the menu.It has an icon that is similar to the Lasso tool.As you trace around the shape of your subject, the Magnetic Lasso tool will attempt to detect the edge of it.This may save you some time, but it's not as accurate as the Polygonal Lasso tool.
Step 25: Click at the beginning of your outline.
When you are done tracing the outline of your subject, click the starting point to create a selection.The grey line looks like a moving dashed line when you create a selection.
Step 26: You can add or subtract parts of your outline.
You can add or subtract areas after you create a selection.If you forget to trace or select something that isn't part of your selection, this is useful.You can add or subtract from your selection by using the following steps.The icon looks like two squares joined together at the bottom of the screen.The Polygonal Lasso tool can be used to trace the area you want to add to.The tool is called the Polygonal Lasso.The icon resembles a square cut out of another square at the bottom of the screen.The Polygonal Lasso tool can be used to trace parts of your selection.
Step 27: You can copy and paste.
You can either paste it into another image or copy it.The following steps are used to copy and paste selections.The menu bar is at the top.Click.Click.Click.
Step 28: The background layer needs to be turned off.
Click the icon that resembles an eyeball at the next to the background layer in the Layers panel to turn it off.This removes the background layer.
Step 29: Save your picture.
