Stress balls are similar to meditation balls. They are often used to put pressure on the chi points in your hand, but they are also good for wrist and hand exercise. If you have two balls that fit your hand size, circle them around your palm with your fingers. It takes practice to get the balls to spin without clanging into each other, but once you do you will feel relaxed and ready to take on advanced exercises.
Step 1: Hold the balls away from you.
The balls are heavy in your hand.Dropping one of them on your foot wouldn't feel good.If you want to prevent accidents, sit at a table or keep your hand away from your body.Don't use the balls over glass or breakable objects.
Step 2: The balls should be placed in your hand.
Hold your hand down.Place a ball between your fingers. The second ball should be between your middle and pointer fingers.Curl your fingers over the balls. You will need your finger strength to get the balls moving.
Step 3: Put the balls in your fingers.
The goal is to have the balls move around. To push the ball towards your body, use your thumb. To shift the other ball to your larger fingers, use your smaller fingers. As long as you can, keep swirling the balls in your hand.
Step 4: You should practice rotating the balls until you get it right.
The balls will collide less and less as you master the movement. If you have chimes, make sure they ring smoothly and without interruption. You have mastered the basics once this happens.Continue practicing so the balls don't touch at all.
Step 5: Pick balls that fit in your hands.
The balls should be around 40 millimetres wide. This size, which is slightly less than a golf ball, is enough for the balls to hit all pressure points on an average hand.Larger balls are better for experienced users and people over 6 feet 2 inches.
Step 6: You can choose the type of ball you prefer.
Wood, metal, and other materials are used to make meditation balls. The cheapest option is metal balls, which are heavier.Stone balls are more expensive and rarer. The hardwood balls are very light, so they are not used as often as other varieties.
Step 7: You can get balls with chimes.
Balls with chimes are hollow. The chime can make noise when the ball is moved because it is lighter than a whole ball. Some people like the sound of chimes. The chime lets you hear how smoothly you are moving the balls.A smooth and even chime sound tells you that your movements are fluid. You can hear this in normal balls.
Step 8: The balls must be spun with minimal finger contact.
You will gain better control of your muscles when you use the meditation balls.Put the balls in your palm and try to move them. The balls will start rolling if you raise one side of your palm. The amount of strength and concentration you learn is a nice reward. It is important to remember that you are providing empty space for the ball to roll into rather than pushing it into that space.
Step 9: While rotating the balls, turn your palm down.
The angle you hold your hand can make using the balls more difficult. If you have a flat hand, try inclining it upwards. The more you face the ground, the harder it will be to control the balls.Continue until you are ready to try controlling the balls. This exercise will help you build strength and speed in your fingers.
Step 10: The balls should be in the opposite direction.
Send the balls towards your smaller fingers instead of sending them in the direction of your thumb.Take the balls out of your hand.It will feel strange and difficult the first time you try it.While increasing your ability to control them, you will still get full hand stimulation by the balls.
Step 11: There are more balls to add to the rotation.
Once you master that, add a fourth ball. The same way you did with two, you will spin them in your hand. The difficulty increases with more balls, but so does your skill level. You can keep a fourth ball spinning if you handle three balls.
Step 12: Move onto larger balls.
Bigger balls are harder to handle. Some practitioners prefer them to press on your hands more.It is worthwhile if you have mastered the meditation balls you own and would like a new challenge.
