Do you like going to dance clubs on the weekend but not sure how to do it?You will learn about becoming smooth at club dancing. You can have fun dancing at the club by just learning a few key steps.
Step 1: It's time to bounce to the music.
If you don't know what to do on the dance floor, bounce to the beat. You can do this by bending your knees and standing up.This can be a very small, fast move that makes you look like you're just bobbing along to the music, or a much larger, pronounced motion where you exaggerate the bends and the pauses.Don't look like a buoy in the water if you shift your body from side to side.It is possible to sway back and forth to the music.Your legs should be shoulder-width apart and your knees should not be bent.Instead of bouncing, sway back and forth. When you get to the side, try to stop for a beat.Relax your shoulders. You want to be smooth as you move.As you bounce, let your arms sway.Start moving to the music when you find the tempo. If you don't know how to find the tempo, listen to the drums and bass line. There is a thump-thump pattern in the song.
Step 2: Lift your arms up and down.
If you're bouncing along to the music, try to bend your arms at 45 degree angles.Move them to the beat of the music if you keep them at about chest height.Don't worry about being inflexible - let your arms move.If you point your fist towards your shoulder or hip, have one arm up high while the other is low.Don't keep your arms in one position as you dance.Move with the music in mind.
Step 3: Not your head.
Don't keep your head stiff as you are bouncing and moving your arms around.Take a deep breath and listen to the music. As you look around the room, turn your head from side to side.Look down at the ground, then look up to the ceiling. As you change it up, do a combination of these head moves.
Step 4: Roll up your shoulders.
Roll your shoulders to the beat is a dance move.Roll it backwards by starting with the right shoulder.Roll the left shoulder backwards. As you sway to the music, alternate as you bounce. You can add your arms by lifting one arm as you roll that shoulder, then lifting the other arm and lowering it.As you dance, keep it fluid.
Step 5: You have to roll your hips.
Rolling your hips is a common club dance move.Hip action can be added as you bounce or move your body.Roll your hips in circles as you bounce.Write the letters of your name on your hips in order to get some hip movements. The outline of the letters can be seen if you move your hips. It's important to keep it in time with the music.
Step 6: The two-step is how to do it.
The two-step is the simplest club dance move.If you want to dance the two-step, you have to step your right leg to the side.On the other side, do the same thing.Step to the side to find the beat of the music. To make this move less rigid, move your body in a bouncing motion. As you step from side to side, this will give you more movement. If you're leaning in one direction or the other, move your torso off-center.Every time you step to the side, you can lean forwards and backwards, changing the position of your upper body.
Step 7: Try to follow the step behind.
The step behind is a variation of the two-step.Step your right leg to the side.If you want to meet your right one, instead of stepping the left foot, pull it behind you and tap the toe of your second foot.Bring your right leg behind you as you step out with the left foot.If you want to mix it up, push the second foot in front of you and tap the toe with the other foot.
Step 8: The step claps.
The step clap is similar to the two-step, but adds in the arms. When you get to the side, clap your hands.Try to clap along with the music. If you step out in a larger range of motion, you can make the clap wider. If you can't bend your knees lower, try swaying your upper body along with the movement.
Step 9: The step drop is something to do.
Place your legs shoulder-width apart.Turn your body towards one side when you pivot on your feet.Pause and hold when your body gets to the side.Drop your back shoulder slightly, which makes you lean away. When you drop and lean, snap the fingers on the hand on that side.Move back to center and do the same steps with the other arm.
Step 10: You can try the circle turn.
You should hold your hands above your head. You can move your arms through the air.Make a 90 degree turn with each circle of your arms to add the legs.If you want the inside foot to stay still, lead with the outside foot. The turn should follow a rhythm. On one, you step with the outer foot, and on two you do the same thing. The arms follow the same pace.Your arms should complete half a circle with each beat.On one, your arms are to one side; on the other, you circle back to start.
Step 11: Club dance moves are shown in the videos.
There are videos of club dance moves. Some of the videos show people dancing to club music, others show you how to master the moves. You can get a mental picture of the moves you can imitate by watching these videos.
Step 12: Tape yourself dancing.
If you're worried about what you look like, tape yourself dancing to club music to make sure your moves look okay.Fix anything strange about your movements. You can compare it to online videos.Look for things like not enough movement and being too stiff.
Step 13: Go with friends.
A group of friends are going to a club. This will help you perform the dance moves more confidently, as it will make you feel relaxed and less self-conscious.One of the worst things you can do at a club is overthink your moves. You are rigid and awkward because of over thinking. If you are flailing all over the dance floor, be careful not to do spastic moves.
Step 14: Don't worry. Relax.
Look out for the other people on the dance floor when you first get to the club. You can see how they are dancing, what they look like, and what kind of moves they do.They are likely to do the same basic dance moves you will be doing.Enjoy and don't stress. You can stay loose by relaxing.Warm up and loosen your muscles if you're feeling tense.Roll your shoulders, stretch your neck and sway as you bounce. You can dance more fluidly if you get the key body parts moving.
