The Best Jigsaw blades for cutting different materials neatly are special Saw blades.
The deck is notching around the posts for picture framing.I've tried a lot of Bosch jigsaw blades.None seem to work well.The wood ones work for half a cut and then slow down.It doesn't seem to make a difference if I adjust how fast I push through.I play connect-the-dot and drill a hole for each corner of the notch.
Suggestions for blades or techniques?I have to notch two boards against each of the 11 posts.
This is what I would do if I had others.Like aluminum or plastic, the method is either big teeth and fast cutting speed, but slow pushing through the material, or slower cutting and faster pushing.
It's important that the kerf is larger than the width of the blade so that it doesn't get hot.If the blade gets stuck with melted plastic, you should stop and clear it.
Thanks for the suggestions.The T141HM1 is the only blade that Bosch makes.It's time to upgrade my old jigsaw.I don't have enough tools for this project.
