You can use your registered Amazon account to download e-books, documents and magazines.Some items in your library or device are no longer useful to you, so you may want to take them out.You may want to take everything out of a lost or stolen device.There are a number of ways to remove books from the device.
Step 1: If you want to manage your content and devices, you should go to this.
To permanently remove an item from your online content library, you will need to log into your Amazon account.To get started, open a web browser.You will need to log into your account to access this page.
Step 2: The "Your Content" tab is where you should be looking.
If you click on the tab labeled "Your Content", you will see a list of the items in your library.
Step 3: Select the book you want to remove.
There are empty boxes to the far left of your screen under a column called "select." Each row should have a box that you can check to select the book.You can check the box next to the books you want to remove.
Step 4: Click on the button.
On the left side of the page, there are two orange buttons labeled "Deliver" and "Delete".
Step 5: To remove the selected items, confirm that you want to.
It is necessary to click this button so that the items will be deleted from your library.You can confirm what you just deleted by looking at another box.When you see this box, click "OK" and it will go away.
Step 6: Make sure your devices are in sync.
If you sync your device, you can remove the book that you just deleted from the library.If you want to sync your device, you need to open your application and click the icon on the screen.The dots are in the upper right hand of the screen.The option to sync and check for items is on the first item.
Step 7: You can go to the Home screen.
The black and white house icon allows you to access the home screen of your device.You can access your entire library from the home screen by dragging your finger up and down.
Step 8: You can find the title you want to remove.
You can find the title by scrolling up and down.The magnifying glass icon is in the top right of the screen if you can't find the title.This will allow you to type in a title and then search for it on your device.
Step 9: Hold the title and press.
Press your finger onto the icon and hold it there until a menu appears on the screen.A menu will appear on the screen if you hold for a few seconds.One of the options on the menu is to remove from the device.The book will be deleted from your device.The item will remain in your Cloud after you remove it from your device.If you want, you can download it at a later date.
Step 10: You can use the power on your electronic device.
The Home screen has a home icon.There is a small white house on the home icon.You can power up your device by pressing the power button.Press and hold the power button for a few seconds when looking at the Kindle in a portrait orientation.After you release the button, your e-reader will start up.
Step 11: The 5-way controller can be used to navigate through your library.
When you find the title you want to remove from your device, make sure it is highlighted.The black line will be the underline.
Step 12: You can press the right direction on the controller.
The action list will be displayed if you press this button.The option to remove from the device is at the bottom of the action list.Press the center button if you want to archive your book.There is a chance that an item can be recovered.There is a record of purchase and download if you archive it.You can restore an old item by going to the "Archived items" section on your screen.Press the center button if you want to download the content again.
Step 13: If you want to deregister your device, consider doing so.
If your device was lost or stolen, deregistering it through your Amazon account is the best way to make sure that all of your items are gone.If you are going to resell your device, this is a good option.If you don't register the device, all of your items will be removed and you will not be able to access them on this device.
Step 14: If you want to manage your content and devices, go to this page.

Step 15: The tab is labeled "Your Devices."
Click on the tab called "Your Devices" after you log in to your account.You should see a list of the devices that are registered to your account when you are on this page.
Step 16: Choose a device.
Select the device that you want to deregister from the list.The device will have an orange outline and a pink background when selected.The other devices won't have anything around them.
Step 17: The button says "Deregister".
The deregister button can be found on the left-hand side of your screen.Click or tap on this button if you are certain that you have chosen the correct device.Your Amazon account will be disconnected after you register.You will not be able to read any books that you have purchased.If you don't have an Amazon account, you will not be able to download or purchase any more content.
