The calories in the strawberry energy punch drink are part of the nutrition facts.
The company's interpretation is a little different from the Starbucks sippers that have become a regular feature on your feed. The baked-goods chain has recently introduced the Energy Punch, but it's not the same as the one you're used to: Instead of offering a side of coffee to go along with all that sugar in your bright beverage, the chain is dumping in a whole can.
Energy Punch is made up of a full 16-ounce can of Monster Energy and either a blue or strawberry flavor, which gives the drink a wild blue (or, presumably, red) shade, and is served over ice.The chain's signature frozen Coolatta, which comes blended and is also offered in Blue Raspberry and Strawberry varieties, is not the same as this new arrival.
According to a press release, Energy Punch was conceived by a couple of creative, and apparently caffeine-starved, New Hampshire franchises, before a ton of attention prompted the company to begin offering the punch in thousands of other locations. It's important to point out that the addition of an energy drink takes this punch from Energy Punch, as fans of the drink have already dubbed it "Unicorn Water" or "Mermaid Water".A study in the Journal of the American Medical Association found that having one energy drink can cause a significant rise in blood pressure, putting the drinker at increased cardiovascular risk.
If you're in New England, West Palm Beach or Miami, you can pick up your Energy Punch at any of the locations.
