The Dyson vacuum cleaner has a beater bar, but the vacuum brush won't spin on it.
Place the vacuum on its side.Look underneath the vacuum to see if there is anything wrapped around the brush roller.If there is, grab a pair of scissors and cut away the debris, making sure not to cut the actual brush.When the vacuum is turned on, the brush roller should rotation.
Make sure the vacuum is plugged into the wall outlet.Once you turn the vacuum into the On position, it should power on.You may have to use other wall outlets if it doesn't power on.
The vacuum needs to be in the On position.The wire should be traced back to the wall outlet.You were operating the vacuum.Plug the machine back into the wall outlet.If you want to prevent future shutoffs, make sure there is enough slack in the wire.
The base may be dropping debris if the vacuum is not able to stand on its own.The topic is "My vacuum will not stand upright".
Put the vacuum in the vacuuming position.Put the vacuum on its side to keep it in this position.If the vacuum is not in bare floor mode, turn it on.If the brushbar isn't spinning, you can follow the "Brush Roller not working properly" topic.
Turn off the vacuum.If the soleplate is damaged, check the bottom of the vacuum.This guide can be used to replace the soleplate if it is damaged.
Turn off the machine.Continue by leaning the turbine on its side.Press the yellow release button and look for any obstructions.The machine may not be able to lock in its upright position as well as recline when locked.Below is a link for visual guides.
It is possible to firmly plant both feet on the base and hold the vacuum's handle with two hands.After you get a strong grip, try to rock the vacuum side to side in order to reset the locking mechanism of the recliner.Stand in front of the vacuum with both feet on the base and push the handle back.

The brush bar may be set too low for the carpet that you are cleaning.The carpet won't get sucked into the brush bar if the carpet is set on a higher level.
About 5 times, you can click the carpet to bare floor adjustment.It's a good idea to end on the carpet selection.To turn the vacuum onto it's side, tilt it back from the upright position.The word carpet should be below the carpet indicator.Refer to the brush roller section if this doesn't work.
Two other components may need to be replaced with the brush roller.The belt is the first thing.The belt needs to be replaced every three months because it can start to slip while vacuuming.There may be a problem with the PCB if the problem doesn't go away.There are videos about how to replace both parts.
Make sure you press the right buttons on the top of the vacuum and set it to the correct height.You might have a bad air muscle if you can't adjust your brush roller height.There is a replacement guide here.
The brush bar is not adjusted by my vaccum.It always adjusted.It has become a default position of sucking to whatever it is vacuuming.Without the beater bar in the on position it is hard to push on hardwood.
All mode lights blink at the same time.There was nothing stuck in the roller bar.
