The Ford F-150 Forum has a weak sounding horn.
Various Ford vehicles have a revised horn system.
The sound of the revised horn system would not be affected by any repairs or additions.
The cars that are included are: CD539N EDGE, M2 C 520N ESCAPE, DH C346N FOCUS, and C7 CD391N FUSION.
The little fag horn is the only thing I don't like about the ford edge st.I need to replace the horn.Ford gave me a bicycle horn for traffic to hear, but created a kick ass truck with monster balls. You could have done better. That is shameful.!
The horn assembly I bought was plug and play using the original brackets, 10mm sockets wrench, and 5.5mm nut driver. It was difficult to remount because of the tight space. It took about an hour.
I have a new Edge with a single tone horn.Behind the fender liner is where it is located. The horn assembly I bought was a dual horn, and I installed the two units on the brackets that came with the Edge. With a 10mm wrench, it was done. The plug was correct as it just plugged in.The cost was $35.You will need a nut driver to get behind the fender liner. The car's price was $43,000 and it only had one horn.Common Ford!!
The Escape Titanium horn is not loud enough to alert other drivers, and this is a safety issue, what can be done?
I have a Ford Edge Titanium with the same horn problem as Nick. The horn is very weak and doesn't get a lot of attention. If Ford doesn't change, I will replace it.
