The package of 2Cabinets hangs out from the soffit.
It is normal for cabinets to hang out from the soffit, according to my cabinet designer. Is anyone able to give me pictures that they could share?I couldn't find any pictures that showed the cabinets under the soffit. The cabinets were installed evenly under the soffit.
Thank you for posting the pictures. The cabinets would protrude out if they were bigger and wider than the soffit. The cabinets and the depth of the soffit are the same size. The protruding look would look beautiful if it were all right.
I read that you were looking for photos where the cabinets were deeper than the soffit, but I haven't seen that before.
I don't think it would look right. The part would collect dust.Did the cabinet designer say that the cabinets should be deeper than the soffits?
If you put faux doors on the soffits, the whole thing will appear to be stacked. If you needed to make up for the additional depth, you could do a mold under that.
He didn't explain why he would suggest that.I guess to save time and money to keep things the way they are.He wants the size of the pantry cabinets to be deeper.I was able to find something deeper.
I've never seen cabinets protrude from the soffit. It would look like someone forgot to measure. If you were going for false cabinets above, it would work.I can't see how they would look good to just protrude. The cabinets protrude from the countertop.I would question the ability of the designers.
I had the same width as the cabinet that was suspended over my peninsula. It was only used for that purpose.I don't grieve now that it's gone.
The "soffitt" is placed along the lip on the top edge and then angles back to the soffitt. The depth difference is absorbed by these stacked pieces or one piece at an angle. You can buy it from any cabinet maker. If you go to Home Depot or Lowes, you can see how they stack and the different styles, and see if you could live with that.It could work out well.
There was a plate rail in the kitchen that was used to show decorative plates because the cabinets were wider than the soffit.
The refrigerator looks as though it protrudes at least 34" deep, however the cabinet and panelling are deep enough to give a built-in look.
I don't know what to think at the moment. Is this an example to use with the cabinets?
The design on paper looks good, but if I look at the depth between the cabinets and the soffit, it may be an issue.
