People forget that our cleaning tools need to be cleaned.The toilet brush is one of the dirtiest things in the bathroom.The toilet gets dirty because of incorrect use.When it isn't completely dry, your brush may get dirty quickly.You can make your bathroom a cleaner place by using the toilet brush correctly.
Step 1: The bucket should be filled with hot water and bleach.
Make sure the bucket is deep enough to submerge the toilet brush and holder.If you have access to the hottest water, fill the bucket with it.2 cups of bleach should be poured into the water.You can read the back of the bottle.Follow the instructions it gives you.Add bleach to the toilet bowl if you don't have a bucket.Let the toilet brush sit in the bowl for a few hours or overnight.
Step 2: The brush and holder should be submerged in bleach for an hour.
Don't let them splash in the bucket.If you have a disposable plastic apron, wear gloves and make sure you don't get bleach on your skin or eyes.The brush and holder should be left in the water for at least an hour.
Step 3: Under hot water, rinse the brush and holder.
You have access to the hottest water.They should be under the water for at least 30 seconds.The hot water oxidizes the active ingredient in bleach, making it safe to touch the bristles.
Step 4: The brush and holder should be dry.
To dry the brush and holder, put them on a towel.Don't store them until they are dry.The growth ofbacteria can be caused by storing a wet or damp brush.
Step 5: You should repeat the process every month.
If you don't use the toilet brush often, it will still be a breeding ground for bugs.It's a good idea to clean it monthly.If you rarely use it, you can bleach it less frequently.
Step 6: The toilet brush needs to be sprayed.
You can use any spray.When spraying the brush, make sure you cover the entire surface area.The bristles should be dripping before you stop spraying.The brush should be sprayed over the toilet bowl.
Step 7: The brush handle should be under the toilet seat.
The brush handle is held in place by the weight of the toilet seat.The bristles of the brush need to hang over the toilet bowl.The excess disinfectant should be put into the toilet.The brush should be kept there for at least 10 minutes.The brush can be dried over the sink or tub.Make sure to thoroughly clean the sink and tub after you do this.
Step 8: The brush needs to be run under water.
Try to get the hottest water you can find.Run the water over the brush bristles.The brush should be kept there until the water runs off of it.
Step 9: The brush holder should be used after the disinfection process.
Allow the holder to sit for 10 minutes.The holder can be dried on a towel or paper towel.The holder needs to be run under hot water.
Step 10: Store the brush and holder in a dry place.
To dry the brush and holder, put them on a towel.Store the brush in the holder when they are completely dry.Don't store them wet or damp, as this will encourage the growth ofbacteria.
Step 11: The brush and holder should be submerged in a solution of water and water.
If you want to fill a bucket halfway, fill it with water.Make sure the bucket is large enough to submerge the toilet brush and holder.After soaking the brush and holder, put on gloves and remove it.
Step 12: 2 grams of baking soda is enough to scrub the brush.
Wear gloves and an apron.Sprinkle the baking soda over the brush.Make sure to get in between the bristles with a separate brush.It is helpful to get an even deeper clean.
Step 13: Under the hot water, run the brush and holder.
You have access to the hottest water.The brush and holder should be left under the water for at least 30 seconds.The water should not be removed until it is completely clear.
Step 14: Store the brush and holder after they are dry.
They should be left on a towel to dry.Wait until they are completely dry.The growth ofbacteria will occur if they are stored damp or wet.
