A basic survival swimming skill is treading water, it is moving your limbs for the sole purpose of staying afloat.Even before you learn how to swim, you can learn it.Water polo is a sport in which treading water is used.Even if you aren't a great swimmer, you can build your strength and endurance by learning how to tread the water for extended periods of time.
Step 1: Use your arms and legs together.
With your body upright, use all of your limbs.If you start kicking your legs and paddling with your feet, you will start swimming.
Step 2: Keep your head up and you will be fine.
If you want to regulate your breathing, keep your head above water.Slowing down your breath will allow you to conserve energy and tread water longer.
Step 3: Put your arms in a horizontal position.

Step 8: The kick is called the flutter kick.
The flutter kick is where you tread water with your legs.If you want to flutter kick, point your toes downward and kick one leg forward.Consistency is maintained back and forth.The advantage is that you can keep your arms free by doing the flutter kick.This technique can be taxing because you're only using your legs.
Step 9: The frog should kick.
The frog kick is where you put your feet out to the side.The whip kick is also called the frog kick.When you start with your legs together, move your feet out to the side and then back in.The kick is not as tiring as the kick flutter or the dog paddle.The disadvantage is that using this kick causes you to bob up and down in the water.
Step 10: Try to row.

The eggbeater is where you move one foot clockwise and the other foot counterclockwise.It is difficult to master, but it saves a lot of energy.If you can perfect it, you will save a lot of energy.This is a hard technique to perfect, and many people need to practice extensively in order to learn it.
