There are 6 status effects in the official Minecraft WikiBeacon structure.
A beacon is a block that projects a light beam skyward and can provide status effects such as Speed, Jump boost, Haste, Regeneration, Resistance, or Strength to nearby players.
The beacon blocks emit a light level 15.They melt snow and ice.
One of the only redstone solid blocks that can be waterlogged in Bedrock Edition is beacon.
The structures that need to be activated are pyramids. There are four possible heights.More powers are available in a wider area. The type of mineral block used to build the pyramid is not functional. There are several different block types that can be mixed. When the pyramid is repaired, the previously-set powers will return to action. This applies to the pyramids as well.
Multiple beacons can use the same blocks. The pyramids don't need to be symmetrical. There is a pyramid in the image to the right.A base layer of 10 by 11 is required.
A vertical beam appears from a beacon if it is activated, extending from the beacon block up to the height limit. The beam can be seen from 64 blocks away in Java Edition. The beam of light can be seen from up to 255 blocks away if a render distance of 16 chunks is set.
The beam is only visible from up to 512 blocks away in Bedrock Edition.[2]
Blocks of stained glass can be placed above the beacon block to change the beam's color. The beam changes colors according to the colors of glass placed above it: the first block sets the beam color, while each additional block set the color by averaging the red, green, and blue components of the current beam and the block's color. The values are the same as those for the dye. This also works with hardened stained glass.
It is not possible for beacon beams to go through most blocks and end portal frames.
Once the beacon emits a beam, it can be fed iron, gold, emerald, diamond, or netherite ingot to choose the status effects given to players within range. The beacon's GUI displays this through pressing use while looking at the beacon block. It doesn't matter which item is fed into the beacon.
In the GUI, the player places the item to be fed in the empty slot and clicks an effect from the "Primary Power" section on the left. The "Secondary Power" section on the right becomes active if the beacon is sitting on a pyramid. The player can either raise the primary power to Level II or turn on the Regeneration power. The user clicks the "done" button, the item is consumed, and the power is activated. The beacon's powers must be changed by consuming another ingot or gem.
If the pyramid is broken, the effects will be weakened or the beacon will not work at all.Without the need to spend another item, the originally selected power returns after the pyramid is restored.
Only one of the two powers appears to have been selected.
The powers are applied every four seconds with a duration of 9 seconds and 2 seconds per pyramid level. When powers are changed or a player travels outside the area-of-effect, the powers last for 13 to 17 seconds with a full pyramid.
The beacon affects an area in the shape of a square column, which reaches downward and out to each side at a range determined by the size of the pyramid base, and upward of that range + 256.
The intensity of the status effect is unaffected by the distance from the player to the beacon block.
The texture file for the beacon in Java Edition 12w36a was the same as the end crystal.
