There are different types of art media.
I will use this research to figure out what media to use in my multi media exploration.
Drawing is a form of visual art in which a person uses various drawing instruments to mark paper or another two-dimensional medium.Instruments include pen and ink, inked brushes, wax color pencils, crayons, charcoal, chalk, pastels, various kinds of erasers, markers, styluses, and electronic drawing.
A small amount of material is released onto a surface by a drawing instrument.Paper is the most common support for drawing.Temporary drawings can be made on a whiteboard or a blackboard. The medium has been used for public expression for hundreds of years. It's one of the easiest ways to communicate visual ideas.Drawing is one of the most common artistic activities due to the wide availability of drawing instruments.I researched about it because most people sketch with dry media.
The particles are used in all kinds of paints. Most of the time, they are the same.Paints can be opaque, transparent, staining, granulating, and strong colors when mixed.
The traditional binder of watercolors is gum arabic.Gum arabic does not form a film when it dries because it is a weak binder.Even after paints have dried, watercolors are easy to re-wet.
Cotton is an ideal material for watercolors because it is strong enough to resist water.
An important component of papers for painting is sizing. The size of the paper makes it stronger when wet.
When drawing with a pen or pencil, hot-pressed papers have a smooth surface.Cold-pressed paper surfaces produce nice effects when they are textured.
Gouache is an opaque watercolor that dries quickly.A larger particle size is the result of high concentrations of pigment. In lower quality brands, white pigments and other opacifiers are added to make gouache opaque.
Gouache is popular for illustration because it does not produce a glossy sheen or glare that can interfere with photographing, scanning and reproducing artwork.
If I want to make a background pattern using wet medias and dry media, I will have to complete my multi before I can use them.
These are used to enhance and define work.It helps if you can define your work and make it look better than it was on paper. The development of technology within art has led to the use of digital media by some artists.Artists that use Wacom tablets draw straight onto the digital media and edit it throughout there, this is really clever because you're able to edit quickly and precisely and it looks amazing.Traditional media is still good but because of the advancement in technology, artists are turning to the Wacom tablet to create more precise work for the brief they have, sometimes they are forced to not use traditional media.Digital media is helpful for artists who want to make their images more stylish and precise.
This research has helped me because I will now use digital media to edit my cards and packaging to make them more professional looking and I'll also use it to create my boards where I can display and advertise my card game which will be shown digitally and on a printed board.
Dry media, charcoal, chalk, colored pencil, scratch board, etc.Quality can be obtained in any medium if you give the right amount of time to the piece. It's a lot easier to draw with pencils than it is with paints. If you mix enough of a particular color you wont have as much variation in color as if you use markers or colored pencils.Speed and precision are what wet medias are used for.
I have learned how to use wet/dry and digital media in my own work.Within this brief, I will use them to create my concepts for my cards and packaging.I want to use different medias in my project.I will find out if I want to use multi media in my project after completing my exploration. This research has helped me look at all the different types of medias I could use and how techniques within them could be used with technologies we have.
I decided to use wet and dry media for my project after completing my multi media exploration. The background of my cards and packaging will be done by me using wet and dry media. The non conform cards will have a background of splattered paint, which I will put onto the digitally made outlines of the non-conform cards. The conform cards will have a dry media background of black lines to show the conform side of the game, it will be simple and black while the non-conform cards are all different colors. The point of my work is to show the difference between conform and non-conform graphics, which helps the player choose which side they would be on and therefore helps them to successfully complete the tasks that they are given.
The first card in the pack will show the two patterns and the players will pick which pattern they like the most and then play with the cards that have that pattern on them.I think this is an effective way of using medias within my work and using techniques and technologies as I have used painting and drawing techniques within making the patterns for the background and I also used technologies such as scanning the backgrounds in and digitally enhancing them, then placing them onto the outlines of myI used this research to inform my digital media use as I have used Adobe Illustrator to create the outlines of my cards and the typeface that goes on them, I did this because of the research about how society has developed. There is a title on the front of the packaging, as well as a background that will show the two different types of graphics, I think this will help promote the game.
This research has helped inform my use of multi media within my project using different medias, techniques and technologies to complete my final outcomes and my work being up to a high standard in order to enable a good outcome.Using multi medias within my work has proven to be effective and helped me to develop it to a high standard, because it has informed me how there are different types of media and how I could use the techniques within them to inform my ideas.
I have been able to investigate graphic media, techniques and technology in a variety of ways.
