China became a Republic in 1912.More socialism brought about changes in punishment techniques that made them less brutal.The death penalty is still used in China, but other countries have abolished it.China accounts for most of the capital punishments on Earth.

This will be a point of contention between nations when it comes to the death penalty.It seems like a valid argument to abolish it, but for serial killers and crowded prisons it becomes more apt.Where can the line be drawn between the two?

A point can be made with torture.There is now a consensus in the world that any form of torture is wrong.Hopefully it will be completely resigned to the past soon.To think of what some people went through is harrowing, no doubt innocent.They should rest in peace and be remembered so that the practice of torture is stopped once and for all.
