There are signs of Hiatal Hernia and how to deal with it.
I'm new to this site and am hoping someone can give me some advice for my condition.I am 57 years old.
I have had indigestion for a long time.I have had bouts of burping and acid reflux for the past 6 months.Even though I am not a heavy eater, I still feel bloated in the upper stomach area when I go out for meals.
I have a hiatus hernia and am waiting for my doctor to prescribe medication.I had a blood test for the bug which came back negative, but the doctor took a biopsy to check for it again.Does anyone have the same symptoms that the doctor thought the hernia wouldn't be the cause of my burping/belching?
Prior to the endoscopy, I was on Omneprazole, which had little to no effect.I'm getting down because of this burping/belching/bloatedness, any advice/ remedies would be appreciated, thanks.
I belch when I change positions.I have this for 6 years and I'm taking medication because of the heartburn that happens when I belch.
Everything!H2 blokcers and PPI's eliminate the pain and there is no acid.I have a hernia. It will be 6 years with me if I don't have acid.
I've seen people swallow rennie and be surprised by stomach gas.!
Many professionals seem unaware that the second one is less obvious. The suituation of your lungs and stomach is the same. When you breathe in, the pressure in the chest goes down, but the stomach doesn't want to let the air out.The look on friends and family's faces was unpleasant.I've seen my wife in pain for a long time. It's worse when the hiatus hernia is worse if you're not treated by the National Health Service. If you keep the hernia passive, save up and go private to get your life back.Report and deletion 6 reply.

The suituation of your lungs and stomach is the same. The same effect occurs in this part of the stomach when the pressure in the chest drops due to muscle movement.
On breathing out, the chest pressure changes, your lungs expel air, but the badly located stomach doesn't want to let it go and you have the urge to burp for relief.
I listened to it for hours on end and saw the blank look on some doctors faces. The look on friends and family's faces was unpleasant.I've seen my wife in pain for a long time. It's worse when the hiatus hernia is worse if you're not treated by the National Health Service. If you keep the hernia passive, save up and go private to get your life back.Report and deletion 6 reply.

If you are refused treatment from the National Health Service, try out lots of options to passify the hernia. If you keep the hernia passive, save up and go private to get your life back.Report and deletion 6 reply.

I have been burping for a year now, and just figured it out when I am lying down. When I'm singing, there's little to no burping, but when I drive, the pressures press down on my stomach or something. When I'm gasping for air, the singing doesn't go into my stomach because of my hernia. It is likely as you said.I'm still looking for a solution that will allow me to breathe while sitting in a car.I'll try this guy's suggestion on drinking a huge cup of water in the morning and jumping up and down to pull the stomach downwards.

The burping is connected to eating oily foods.
I am able to stop burping if I force the back of my tongue backwards a bit.I've had one session of visceral manipulation, but I am not able to swallow when this is achieved.Maybe surgery to put a sleeve in is next.

The doc has not heard of this condition.Maybe surgery to put a sleeve in is next.

This is hard to do all the time.My hernia causes the burp when I make a movement.
I know what you're going through.I have been suffering with this for a long time.A doctor taught me how to'massage' my stomach and bring the part back down where it belongs. It has brought me great relief at times when I have to do it myself.Maybe it will help your wife. It's pretty simple, but a bit awkward.I have to face the wall to push against it.Keeping their fingers stiff, point them toward my stomach. To increase the pressure, push the backs of my hands against the wall.I try to suck my diaphragm when I push my hands in.I'm putting my hands at the top of my stomach to hold it while I pull the diaphragm up and it pops back down where it belongs. It takes a little practice but it works well for me.
If not please ask questions, I hope this helps.

Hi, Paul! This is exactly what it is.I'm not the only one who said something important here.I'm pretty sure what the result will be when I get an endoscopy on March 13
Mostly nothing when I sleep or lie down. When I'm up, I have acid in my stomach, air pressure on the chest, and a lot of burps from 9am until I sleep. There is no age for Hiatal Hernia.Report and deletion reply.

I don't know if you take it, but I think it makes your digestion worse and burping worse, it's one of my observations.I can't work out anymore.
The National Health Service is in the UK.There is a wait for services in the UK, but I don't live there.Private insurance can be bought to avoid the long wait.
