There are three ways to find a Mr. Gold Lego minifigure.
There is a map on the LEGO website.5000 fully gold-chromed Mr. Gold minifigures have been released. The lucky people who find them can enter the unique code found in Mr. Gold's packet on the LEGO website.
According to the map, Mr. Gold minifigures 66 have been found, but a lot of people don't report them.William told me that he found one after going through several full boxes.Due to being legally blind, William is fast and accurate at identifying minifigures, which gives him an advantage.William wrote an article about the Guide to feeling LEGO Minifigs Series 10.
If you want to get your hands on a LEGO Mr. Gold minifigure, they are now officially released and should be available at all LEGO stores.
The Online LEGO Shop has the LEGO Collectible Minifigs Series 10.The disadvantage of buying online is that you can't feel the bags, however there is a significant advantage; it is unlikely that employees and other people who are out hunting for Mr. Gold have already done so.
The series is full of wonderful minifigures.Even if you don't find Mr. Gold, you can still get a full series of minifigs.
Happy hunting!Let us know if you find the LEGO Mr. Gold minifigure.
You can also check out the LEGO Minifigures section for more news, reviews and discussions.
It was the tomahawk warrior.I was happy even though I wanted him.I was picked up by my sister for a discount because she works at a newsagent.I will find you even if I have to travel to europe and America and buy a lambo for a tenner.?
I was too scared to remember Mr Gold's contents until the Tomahawk warrior fooled me.!
I went to 12 stores.Target stores!I have felt hundreds if bags with accuracy and no Mr. Gold. How long are the minifigs in stores?I think a lot of them are in warehouses. We can't afford Mr. Gold on eBay and have almost no chance of finding him.Lego did this. What do you think?
They found a new way to get you to buy their products. If people really wanted Mr. Gold, they would most likely have a lot of minifigures until they found him.
A lot of people are angry with Mr. Gold. Those who find one are not included.I think it's up to us to decide what to think about this shiny little guy.It could be fun to find one or two.
Mr. Gold is too rare, but I'm not mad at LEGO about it.It is better than no Mr. Gold.Do you know of a place where I can find rare LEGOs?
I like the idea of a limited minifigure. They could have made more money by not putting it in a cheap plastic wrap. The people who sit in a store for hours feel packets are no longer Lego making money. It takes away from the randomness of Mr Gold.He is found from having more time than others, a good feeler, and an employee sitting in a TRU warehouse.
I had a case of 10 cmfs at my local and it was hard to tell the difference between the indians and Mr. Gold staffs.
A lot of people confuse the Indian and Mr. Gold.Try to find the top-hat as well.
Found one today! My girlfriend and I went to the Lego store in Raleigh, NC last night and came away with 3 librarians, 3 tomahawk warriors and four of the other popular ones. Most of the figs left were picked through the piles by Feelers. We went back to get a sea captain and a trend Setter for our kids after an employee remembered us from last night and said that we should pull packets from the back of the display.A large amount of money. We were able to find all 10 in the series. The guide posted on here makes it easy to identify most of them.Thank you so much! When my girlfriend couldn't figure out what the one she was feeling was, we were about to leave happy with our scores.I found the top hat when she asked me to check. We were excited.I jumped up from the piles on the floor and paid for it.I've never been more excited about a piece of plastic. The appeal of those eBay prices was calling us.He will leave us in roughly three days to someone who will pay way too much for a piece of plastic. His memory will live on in our hearts forever.
You are one lucky person, unlike me.I might have to attack them first. There is a Lego store in London.sighI live on the south coast of the UK.
Brandon, awesome!CONGRATULATIONS!Thanks for sharing your story! It got me excited.I was told by William that he sold his item for $725 on eBay.Make sure the package is insured and tracked. The extra couple of dollars are worth it.Mr. Gold is exactly what he is advertised to be, because you can buy so many more awesome LEGO sets for that much money.
I would like to think that I wouldn't sell him, but the lure of Orthanac might break me down. You are lucky if you find one of those.!
Lego employees are no longer allowed to be Feelers. It's good for people trying to chase Mr. Gold.It was bad for my finger tips.I am sure there will be many employees that do it.Our store has been good and honest so far.
What do you think about Mr. Gold? The top hat seems to be the only feature that I could identify. Is this right or not?
It's amazing to be able to sell a minifigure for over 100 dollars.I have to buy a minifigure because gold is worth so much.
Clicking on the latest news brings you to the home page. How do you do that?I am trying to do it on my new website.
Do you want to copy our pictures? Many of the pictures on your site are from here, including the sidebar tabs.I made them work for hours to get them right. It's discouraging when someone just copies and pastes them.I am always happy to help with your website design, answer your questions, etc., but please don't copy my articles, pictures, or anything else. You will know how I feel when I see stuff like that once you become a serious blogger and work for hours on your articles, ideas and presentation. If you don't pirate their content, they are happy to help you out.One of the most basic tenants is this.Make friends, help others, but don't steal. Thanks!
Oh my!I forgot that I had featured products on the sidebar when I was not working on that blog. Can I leave the LEGO shop one?
Thanks. The LEGO Shop picture is an affiliate link.If you become an affiliate with them, you can get the same picture, but it is a bit different in size. You can use the affiliate program to display pictures, banners, links and other stuff on your site. It's not necessary to copy them from someone else.
Sorry about this.I will not allow it to happen again.I would like to thank you for your help with my website. It really helps.
To find Mr.GOLD, try to find a round plastic thing.Hope it works!I was able to find him using that trick.Richard1222 P.S.I hope that works because I didn't find him.
I think I found Mr.Gold but my brother put the packet back and he got a packet and it was the painter.I know which Lego minifigures I am getting.Bye bye.
I wanted the chicken guy in the last series, but I got the layer and the frankestein guy, and I hope everyone finds the ones they want.
Yesterday I found the Lego Mr.Gold but the day before I gave my sister the one I wanted, Scotland got good weather.
Have you found Mr.Gold yet? There is a picture of Mr.Gold in the middle of four Lego friends, you should look at it.Bye bye.It is 11:30 am in the UK.!
Does anyone know how thick the inner plastic packet is?Is it too hard to feel for the pieces?
William is a good person to ask that.He did not mention that the inner plastic was too thick.
If you fell the packet, try to find out if there is a diamond in it or a top hat, but don't worry, it's the Tomahawk warrior.Lego minifigures can fool you, so remember Mr.Gold song, we know you've been to places two and you have a golden stick with a diamond, a gold tophat and your suit.Bye Bye!!
I have been through aboutn10 boxes but nothing. It will be the easiest way to feel his hat.Don't confuse the painters bucket with the Mr Golds hat.I would love to add one to my collection.
I went to Target to look for Mr. Gold.I didn't find Mr. Gold or the LEGO Minifigures. They were all gone.I'm really Target.
We haven't got them yet, where I live. Not at TRU, not at Target, or anywhere else.I know what you mean.
Is Mr. Gold only being shipped to Lego stores in the UK?I don't want to stand there for hours sifting through boxes of stuff if I'm looking for something different.
We have a Lego store, 3 Walmarts, a few Toys are Us, and 2 Targets and my Dad and I are on a hunt for Mr. Gold.Say it is'nt so.If we get a comment, we will try and leave one.
There is no way to know what happens at other retailers, as the LEGO store is pretty strict not letting their employees pre-feel the baggies. The customer-service desk at my TRU is where employees feel for the baggies all the time.Several Mr. Gold minifigs have been found at retailers, so they don't know about him.
Is Walmart, Fred Meyers, and my Lego stores a good place to find Fredrick?I feel like I know Mr. Gold already, so we are on a first name basis here.TRU is no longer on my list.P.S.The nameTru has nothing to do with the toy store.
More jokes!Frederic! That is definitely him!Wal-mart can be a hit or a miss. Some stores do not carry the minifigs at all.If you have one, Target is a better place. They carry the minifig packets.I have heard that it is an excellent place to find minifigs, and they often have multiple boxes on display.
I hope I don't look like a nerd when I ask for a new box.P.S.I love giving advice. Is it P.P.S?If you are going to hunt for Mr. Gold, don't do the math on the odds of finding him.Don't give up if you do the math.Don't put your line in the water if you want to catch a fish.Persuade!Termination is a problem. It is necessary for maintenance.Excellent job!I can do this if I need to.If I get Fredrick, what is a good time to sell him? When will the market go down? When 1.5 or 2 thousand are left, I think it will go down.Do you have an opinion?
I think it is a good time to sell Frederick.I think prices will come down when more are found. It is not likely that the price will crash.By the end of the year, the price will come back up again.LEGO can always change their mind, so I would suggest to sell now, take what the market gives and run!The white Boba Fett, a minifig that was originally going for over $700, was re-released and the price crashed.
Will not all of the 5k be found when the next series comes along?Do the boxes sit in warehouses? Is it possible for me to get into one of those warehouses and find Fredrick?I am so confused.I can't wait to hunt on Saturday and Sunday.
hum...The old Paploo with the solid white head piece is one of theese worth anything.I have an amazing fact. There were lots of old minifigs, simple smiling faces, solid color legs, the chest is partly solid colored exept for a sybol on the front, and on a reaallly reaaallyyy reallyyy old box of Legos we got at a garage saleI have nothing better to do.
Everyone likes the new Ewoks better than the old ones. They are very cuter. The LEGO Classic Space sets have a guy with a planet symbol. They are favorites of many people.
When the new series comes out, it should not be an issue because many stores sell several series at the same time.It is not likely that they would end up in a warehouse.
When they are gone...Oh my gosh, 0.0 ahhhhh! One more day! There are 9 targets we are stopping by.If I get a new box, I would like to go to the Lego stores.So...bai...!
I got back from my hunt on Saturday, but I didn't find Fredrick.I don't give PIECA LEGO POOP!I'm going to give it a try.I am going to go to 2 more graveyards tonight. If it kills me, I will find him.Wishing me luck!P.S.Do not go to TRU.Everything is taken out.It was so busy when I went to the store.I wonder if Fredrick is avoiding me because I didn't get to ask if they could bring me a fresh box.We had an argument.I said he had a heart of gold, but he took it the wrong way.
Sorry to hear that you have not found Frederick. He doesn't let you find him easily.Don't trust people who are shiny.
When looking for a certain kind of Lego minifig, look at the box, or package and see what it has that is unique, then close your eyes and feel for it.I now have all of the space guys, as well as the biohazard fella.
That is a really good suggestion.I have used the technique before with other things, but never closed my eyes when feeling for the minfigs.Next time, I will try it with minifigs. Thanks for the idea!
I don't think I'll get a free Mr. Gold. When you close your eyes, make sure you have a good picture of the specific piece in your head, or else you will be sitting among a pile of gold Lego bags. Will the Target people kick me out if I ask if they can bring me a fresh box when I get back from hunting Sunday night?
That's right! And it was very funny!Love your humor! If the box is close to being empty, it's reasonable to ask for a fresh box.It is unlikely that they will get you a new box if the box on display is still full.
I put all the bags behind the other boxes, but this one is empty, thank you for the help, I hope I don't have to do this again.I got a chrome-gold Lego minifig helmet-crown at an old garage sale, but is it worth much?It is more shiny and brighter gold than Fredrick.
I have a friend who does that with minifigs. The catalog item is worth about 50 cents.
Yes, umm...I hope I am not the only one who can recite the history from the beginning to the end. Can't wait for Saturday...
KOOLLL!I added walggreens to my list because my nephew is never going to meet you in real life.
This is crazy.I have been to at least 18 stores looking for Mr. Gold.In my entire state of North Carolina, only 5 have been found. Is anyone else upset about Lego doing this? Our only chance of getting one is on eBay for $500.
Andy is out there!I have gotten several private emails and people have shared them in the comments. One guy found two.
Mr/Mrs/Ms admin, hello! When I look at Fredricks staff/sceptre, at the lightsaber hilt, where the blade would come out, on a lot of pictures it is gold/yellowish, and that is typical lightsaber grey.I would be very happy if you explained what was going on to my mind.!
I think you were looking at customs. There are different versions of Mr. Gold for sale on eBay.Some of them look very close to the real thing, so be careful.Frederick has a gold chromed ligth-saber.You can see the chrome at the hilt.
Thank you so much, I was about to buy that poster, but you saved me 200 dollars.I should have known that Fredrick only has gold or chrome.
P.S.I haven't gotten one yet, but when I do, there will be more in Oregon.Do not give up Fredrick-hunters.!
I have found that some people rip open the Minifigure bags and steal the minifig and its accessories while leaving behind the stand and the directions/checklist.I don't like people stealing those. It is not right.
The baggies are hard to open and require scissors or something, but I did see the problem with the books that include a minifig. It's easy to pop out of those.Sad.
With the new Ninjago book out, people might be inclined to do that.Lloyd is wearing a green ninja outfit.I'm not sure if it's considered his kimono garb or what, but I know he only comes in that encyclopedia and many LEGO fans don't have him, so people might be more likely to try and steal him.I know I wouldn't.My conscience would make the experience very unpleasant.I would rather get him the right way.
erm...The bag opens right up if you take a baggie by the hole on the top.I know how to open mine, but I run into a lot of people with stuff taken out.All the minifigs were left in one box. It's a piece of plastic, no need to steal or cheat to get one.
Very smart.I should try it.Never tried to open the baggies that way.Next time I get one, I will try it.
There are gratualations! He is on a winning streak, so maybe you should let him pick the lottery numbers.
On my first attempt to collect series 10, I found a Mr.Gold in a Walmart.Imagine my surprise.!
I will never get one if I don't try.Stores 41 and 42 did not have Fredrick, Lotsa Skydivers and Clowns.I hope they buy new Mr. Gold boxes because they are almost out.
That's right, PS.Someone stuck everything from Mr Good annd evil in a gold package and stuck it in the far back of the box.I felt the hat and went crazy.I didn't see any glue or tape, but I got my money back. The moral of this is don't go crazy with the hat.Feel for each piece.
Do you think I could get my hands on antother?I keep trying to get one but I can't.
LEGO should have had a find Mr. Gold contest and given you something.
Allow the rest of us to get a Mr. Gold. This way the prices wouldn't be jacked up by professionals.I have been collecting LEGO for 20 years and feel cheated by this Mr. Gold figure.I was a member for many years and used to get a set mailed to me on my birthday.
A lot of people feel like you do and have voiced their opinions on various LEGO forums. It's possible also to LEGO directly. If you want, you can contact them directly with your concers. They listen to feedback from customers and long-time LEGO fans. The more people report their concerns, the better. This is true with Mr. Gold, as well as quality of parts, sets, instructions, etc.Changes are made to the best of their ability. It is worth it to let them know what you think.
My son was lucky enough to buy a gold necklace. We bought the wrapping from the morrisons and he threw it away.He was very happy with his gold. They were selling for a lot of money. The complete packaging was found when we went back to the bucket.Edinburgh, Scotland is where we stay.We hope this is the first Scottish gold.
Nice! There are other Mr. Golds in Scotland on the map.Have fun with your guy.
I did not find Friedrick in my 3 1/2 month mission.51 stores have been raided.Oh woe is me...I need to save up money until I can buy Mr. Gold.
That is sad to hear.Sometimes what we are looking for shows up when we stop looking.
When I got a Mr.Gold for christmas, I was happy to find all this about him.
