You will be told to line up at the door by your teacher.Line up in a single line.Stay in line.Line up with the person you are helping.
Step 4: You should leave your things.
It's important to respond immediately to a fire alarm.Don't worry about the game you are playing or the project you're working on.Put your stuff down.Things are more important than your safety.You will slow down if you bring any stuff with you.
Step 5: Walk quietly.
As you leave the building, stay in your line.Follow your teacher to the exit.Keep your hands to yourself while in line.You don't want to push your classmates or other students.Walk and never run.Your teacher can keep track of you if you stay in line.
Step 6: Stay close to the assembly point.
Your teacher will call roll when your class walks to the assembly point.When you are called, listen for your name and respond.If the building is on fire and there is a danger of explosion, face away from it.Unless your teacher tells you to, don't re-enter the building.
Step 7: Stop, drop, and roll.
Dropping on the ground and rolling will put out the fire if your clothes catch on fire.Rolling will smother the flames.Continue until the flames are gone.
Step 8: If you want to avoid smoke, get low.
You can pass out if you breathe smoke.If you get under it, smoke will rise so you can avoid it.If you see smoke, stay below it.
Step 9: Go through a cloth.
Put cloth over your mouth if it is smokey.Pull your shirt over your mouth.If you can, put a small amount of water on the cloth.
Step 10: Ask for help.
If there is a fire, yell for help.If there is a fire in your house, open your window and yell for help.You should yell until you get someone's attention.When there is a fire, never hide.The firefighters need to find you.
Step 11: If you see fire, alert others.
If you see a fire at school, get away from it.Tell an adult about the fire.Don't worry about getting in trouble if you started the fire.Nobody gets hurt, that's more important.Pull the alarm.When you leave the building, use your phone to call an emergency number.If you're in the US, Canada, Mexico, or one of the other countries that uses the emergency number, you should call it.You can call 112 if you are in Europe.
