There is a menu button on the remote control.
Pressing up or down after pressing the home button will allow me to navigate the picture settings.Please help.
I am going crazy trying to find a menu or settings button, I just pressed the blue home button and it brought up a picture or sound.
The up or down key will give you hidden settings if you press blue.
The settings menu is a sub-menu of the home button.The three option sub- menu is where you can scroll through the up and down arrows.It wasn't obvious to me that it took me longer to find this.
The threat of a tv being thrown through a window has been saved by this answer.It's much easier to buy a toshiba tv again.

This was found using the helpful reply generated by Marilyn Koletzke and it has a hidden settings menu in the form of a sub-menu of the home button which you can access if you press the HOME button.Is it too much to ask for the MENU button to be brought back as this is not obvious or simple?

Try pressing the home button.TheARROW UP button is located in the middle of the remote.It should bring up a settings menu if you try that a few times.The easiest way to set up the internet is to go through the initial setup steps, which will open up more settings in the settings menu, at least that's what I found with this.I just got a TV and I'm not at home to check that everything is correct, but I think it is.The settings menu needs to be opened with the combined pressing of the 2 buttons.Good luck.
I don't have a blue home button, but it seems to bring up a menu when I choose to watch videos, and I wanted to get to settings to access the keyboard.Is anyone else buying a remote with a keyboard because it's an ache?
I have been able to do this on all my tv's.One of my toshoba tv's when I press home button and then the up and down arrows it does nothing, and the menu appears covering the whole screen in boxes one large blank black box and underneath a notice saying you need to connect to the Internet.The box under the one with Facebook is the same one that has the iplayer and you tube.Control will only move between the two boxes on the right as tv is not connected to the internet.I have been trying for hours daily.Anyone can help.

If you press the blue house button you will get to settings.
The Power On/Off button at the top of the remote is where the "mute" button is located.
Press up if you just turned the TV on.If you are on a HDMI channel, the menu will not show.You can switch to other inputs that have nothing attached and it will work.
